The following informaton you will read is known only to the professional polygraph community as a current problem, as well as some in the licensed P.I. community from which he was tossed out / license revoked in 10/02.
Like many con men out there who have effected both micro and macro markets they work their frauds in as parasites in hurting the public, this guy has taken it to a new level.
I am sending you a link to two such recent stories on a professional polygraph examiner website ( PolygraphPlace.com ) which has written about one such phony person who is in the L.A. area as mentioned, and who advertises and performs such testing without the needed background or training. He further has in place a current pyramid scheme where he creates new pseudo-examiners accross the USA from a 40 pound box he mails them, gives them the web based cover of a Trojan horse meaningless organization of PEOA (Polygraph Examiners of America), and then he uses these same new instant
Pseudo-Examiners as a "Schills" from which he extracts fees as a component of the pyramid scheme. The result is the "would be" new pseudo-examiner is duped by mail fraud by paying $845.00 for the "Polygraph Academy in a Box", and pushed into performing tests they really can't begin to do to recoup their loss of over $5,000.00. Further, the member of the public / consumer is duped by the cover of the organization Grogan provides (PEOA) and the geographic area recommended pseudo-examiner in a Web based house of cards. Further, no less than a half dozen household name celebrity types, and their Attorneys, have been fooled by this pretend polygraph examiner and are his further victims. Example: Comedian Joan Rivers, Singer Donny Osmond, Child Actor Michael Knight (Peter Brady), and baseball player legend Jose Canseco + more !!!

He even uses his former minor daughter in this scam claiming she is a qualified polygraph examiner when she was then just 14 or 15 !!!!! http://www.kathryngrogan.com/ She only graduated high school last year, and her website read that she supposedly completed a polygraph school in 8/04 !!!!! Impossible !!!! There are no Doogie Housers in the polygraph profession !!!
