I was billed five times, three times in one day, for $99.99. The merchant name on my Pay Pal debit card activity sheet was a mysterious set of numbers that turned out to be the telephone number of Strategy career Courses in Uatah. I called them up after it took me three calls to Pay Pal to get this information. The first two Pay Pal representatives would not identify the merchant. The third rep was kind enough tell me that the numbers were a telephone number. I called the number and someone working in a phone center tol me I had ordered their Medical Billing and Coding Course. I had never heard of this company. I am not in the medical profession. I did not order anything from this company. I asked where they sent the courses I had supposedly ordered. They gave me an email address which isn't mine. When I told the person at the phone center there was a mistake she told me to file a debit card dispute affidavit with my debit card company. When I asked to speak with a representative of Strategy Career Courses she said she was the only person I was allowed to talk to.
I have just lost $499.95 to a company I didn't know existed until today. I believe that they are guilty of identity theft. Despite the fact I never gave them any information about myself, they knew my name, my address and my Pay Pal debit card number.
I never ordered their courses and I never received them.
This company has a history of fraudulent billing practices (see their listing at Better Business Bureau website). Others have been scammed by them. They have been fined by the State of Utah, but they are still in business ripping people off. I am associate of the Spokane WA Hells Angels Nomads. If my ATM/Debit Card Transaction Dispute with Strategy Career Courses isn't resolved in my favor Mr. Neil Wardle can expect a visit from one or more of the Utah chapter's "Filthy Few."
