I allowed AT and T to place a "free" ad in the Yellow Pages for my door and window company. I would pay per call only for calls from a special phone number they placed in the ad. The calls started immediately.
None of the calls have been for doors and windows. Many of the calls are from out of state and I have yet to find the ad anywhere on the internet. For three weeks now I have been getting daily email notifications of my call activity with the amount of money I owe $19.00 per call.
I have contacted the person who gave me the ad. She replied only to say it is a contract that cannot be cancelled. She gave me a phone number to call for customer service. When I call this customer service number a recording places me on hold and states that my call will be answered in the order it was placed, but my call is never answered by a person. I have now been on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes today.
