I received an email update regarding PTG, and it seems as if the owner is trying to beat around the bush.

#1 Fortune 500 companies wouldn't even think of doing business with a company like them. These companies go direct, and pay for TV COMMERCIALS. The costs can be high if you go this route, as I would have to pay over 65,000. to be aired on life time television, but this was across the entire USA. During a show that pertained to my business entirely.

However for a small company to place them selves on TV, is at small costs if you do it on your local free broadcasting stations or cable companies. I only paid about 400.00 to have 2 commercials made up, from my local cable company. Beta's were made for only 50.00 extra so that I was able to air on KMSP 9 and Fox 29.

#2 After having had the talk with Platinum Television Company, I took my own time to research how TV works. I contacted several companies, and none of which I contacted knew of PTG. Including HGTV, Pax and lifetime.

#3 If you are a small business, don't let them prey on you. Go directly to your local TV company, and for 19,000.00 you can get a huge and I mean a huge amount of air time across your entire state. Some even running at only 15.00 per 30 second spot. Small companies are PTG's perfect prey, for you are so eager to become big. Always remember though, that all good things come to those who work their way up.

#5 As a business owner, I budget about 5000. a year for TV, but I get my money's worth right here in my own state. I get great feed back and I didn't have to wait for a show, that doesn't exist. Or deal with a company I don't even know.

#6 One last thought, you don't need PTG to place you on a television show to be on TV, the show it self is paid for by it's advertisers, like me or you or any other solicitor. If they want to feature you on a TV SHOW, they should be paying you for your expertise........

I hope this helps other's in their future TV advertising ventures.
