Where do I start with this Company. We have contacted 3 BBB offices and the attorney general of Florida. We have also contacted GE the credit card company to see if we have any recourse with them as our finance compeny for this product. We bought our over-priced aqua maid product in May 07 and have had nothing but problems with it. The person who installed the product crossed the lines which caused sediment to infiltrate our plumbing system. We were not compensated. Then a bolt broke and caused our basement to be flooded, again not compensated. We have had over 10 service calls, each one finding a new issue. The last one which was day discovered that the brine tank never received water so long story long, the system hasn't worked in a year.

For the duration of the year we have been trying to get the health hazard yanked out of our house and money refunded wiht no luck. Al Rochester the president of Aqua Maid feels that this isn't his issue b/c no one complains about his product so it has to be my issue. I had a very reputable plumber tell me today what I suspected all along which is our warter does have hardness, and the system wasn't working. The BBB says they can't do anything else but submit the complaint. Purley Water is out of business. Alden Rochester responds saying that other customers are happy so it isn't his system or his worry. Four thousand dollars we spent on a faulty product and the president doesn't stand by his company or his product. He told us we should hire a lawyer if we want to receive a refund, so I guess that is the next step. The attorney general sent letters to him, but again, unless enough people complain, they can't file a state complaint.

If a chevy dealer sells me a lemon, and then goes belly up, I expect Chevrolet Company/GM company to stand behind that lemon. And they would. The same would apply for this product. I understand Purely Water went out of business by Al should stand by his Aqua Maid product and refund us our full dollar amount. We were never compensated for water damange, brine/plumbing damage, time and energy invested in fighting to get rid of this or anything else for that matter. The least he could do is refund the money. Stay away from this product unless you have time and energy for head aches and dealing with incompatence. We are still fighting the good fight. I know GM set Al another letter asking for assistance, but I am sure he will reply like before that it isn't his fault. We are pursing legal help, but not sure if we file the suit in Florida or our state of residency.

AQUA MAID INVESTAGATES COMPLAINTS

Aqua Maid Water Systems, Inc. contacted the same plumber that the O'Neill family stated as being reputable and asked him to go back to their house to check out the system and replace any defective part he found on the system. He reported back on Wednesday the 18th. that there was no defective parts and he only made a small adjustment to the system and it is working as manufactured. Aqua Maid has always honored our warranty to fix or replace any defective part and we will continue to do this.

Aqua Maid always stands behind the warranty

Aqua Maid contacted the same plumber that the O'Neill family stated that was reputable and ask him to go back to their home and inspect the system. He was told to replace any defective part on the system. He went to their home on June 18, and found no defective parts. He made a small adjustment on the salt tank and when he left the house the water was soft and the system was working fine. The O'Neills again complained that the system was't working on or about June 20, so the same plumber called them and made an appointment to come back on June 24 at 4pm to check out the system. However, the O'Neills were not home to keep the appointment . The plumber made another appointment for 3:30 pm on June 25 to check the system. Before the plumbler arrived, Mr. O'Neill notified Aqua Maid by email that he didn't trust the plumber's test kit and that he purchased his own and wanted the plumbler to used both test kits.The water tested soft on both test kits proving to Mr. O'Neill that the system was working fine. Mr. O'Neill signed the service slip verifing the system was giving soft water and that nothing was wrong with the system. No defective parts were found on the system according to the plumbler. Aqua Maid always stands behind our products.
