Purchased an expensive Kenmore Elite Trio Refrig about 1 year ago. This was an expensive unit almost $1,800.00. Last Wednesday it stopped working. I contacted sears and they scheduled an appointment to inspect the unit the following tuesday (yesterday. Initially i thought this was a very long time to wait, but i was very patient and thought the situation would be resolved. However the repair man shows up and says the compressor is bad, he needs to order one and he'll be back on Friday !!! At this point I became upset with the way sears was handling this matter. I lost hundreds of dollars of food to spoilage, have been taking my family out to eat every night, costing me additional money etc. I have contacted the store manager Dave Hanley and asked him for some help and he could care less about my situation, basically too bad for you but we'll fix it sometime. I mentioned to him the "Satisfaction Guarantee" on the back of my receipt and he didn't care about that either.
I contacted home office in Hoffman Estates, Illinois and they shuffled me off to a call center in Texas where i spoke with an "Escalation Specialist" who was useless.
I called back to home office to speak with someone in charge and the again transferred me to another call center after my explicit instructions not to.
I was very patient at first, but now i am running out of money, still don't know when my refrigerator is being fixed, still taking all of my family out to eat again tonight and sears could care less. i have been a loyal customer of sears for many years and they think i am a a piece of garbage sitting that is annoying them. I will keep you posted on my progress. I am going to print out my story and post it on cars in the sears parking lot starting later today. I am in the banner business so I am having a few banners printed up that I will afix to my truck and cruise the sears parking lot. We'll see if this gets any action.
