This company contacts you after you place an ad to sell your vehicle, usually with a "trader" publication. I advertised my car with Autotrader, and about a week after I listed it, someone from buygreatautos.com called me and said they already had a buyer.
They claimed that after I paid them $300, they would forward the buyer they had located to me for purcahse of the car. This company acts like they do financing and buyers contact them to get financed, and once they are approved, they are sent to you. I was given teh name of the web site to check out, and I saw the 100% guarantee of a full refund in 90 days if they are not able to sell your car, so I went for it.
Fast forward to now-about 7 months later. I've sent numerous emails, a notarized letter, and all kinds of correspondence to try and get my money back. It's a total scam. The customer service number is outsourced so you never actually speak to an employee of their company, just someone who can take a message. Here's their return policy from the website (you have to download it, which is why I didn't see it the first time I visited their site):
Our policy allows you to claim a full refund if your vehicle has not sold after 90-days by
mailing or delivering a notarized copy of this refund policy, along with a photocopy of
your vehicles registration, stating that your vehicle has not sold to:

Basically, even if you meet all these silly requirements, which I did, they ignore your request. The voicemail box is now full, and I have no recourse. Stay away!
