Shame on MITSUBISHI for allowing their sales-people to rip-off trusting consumers. But as the saying goes "What goes around comes around" My sister went to Metro Mitsubishi to purchase a 2001 Eclipse, the salesman high pressured her into the Diamond Advantage Program.
Well, now she has 7payments left, which she pays $407.70 and if you do the math it would be about $3,200. She wanted to purchase another car.so she called Mitsubishi, when they hit her with the Balloon payment on the end. Her car is only worth $4,000,are they for real? We need to stop Mitsubishi from these dirty dealings. A class action suit is what they need or maybe the media should be alerted of Mitsubishi's practices.

They did the same exact thing to me in San Antonio

I wish and pray that someone would step up and let these people know that people are not going to pay 40,000.00 for a car that the sticker says 27,000.00 Thats just crazy. That is a Rip Off from the devil himself and after reading all these reports Im not the only one that sucked into the DAP its no advantage to the cust but it sure is for MIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Folks...please READ before signing...

I'm sorry folks, I understand your frustration if you thought your vehicles were nearing payoff and then found out you had a remaining balance, but I can't stop failing to understand how you could claim you were unaware of the terms of your financing. These were CONTRACTUAL terms and were spelled out in whatever purchase agreement/note that YOU signed. Was it a bad deal? Probably, but the bottom line is if you don't READ something before signing, and I mean EVERY word, then who is really to blame here?

And please, before you start firing back, I have no affilliation with any auto manufacturer, dealership, or anyone else connected with this issue. I do happen to be a banker though, and ofer this advice as simply an educational tool for yourselves or others for future dealings.

I've seen the ads regarding this "financing plan" and it was as obvious as the rising of the sun the terms of this deal. I'm not endorsing this but it is also quite obvious and somewhat sad how over and over and over and over again people will simply sign papers without reading anything or have the salesman "explain" the terms. Then several days, weeks or months later they find out what they got themselves into. Absolutely totally amazing, isn't it!!! Then they blame the dealer!

The car business is choking on the stench of the fraud and deception within its ranks and the PRIMARY reason it continues to go on is that over and over again, people go into the dealership having absolutely NO CLUE what they are doing!

Sad, very, very sad!
