My mother recently sold her Jaguar (now owned by ford) coupe on the private market. I needed to get a notorization of title for the transfer. Being a lifelong Ford man (92 explorer, 98 explorer, 02 expedition) I had remembered that my local ford dealership had notarized a couple of documents for me in the past.

My mom had the cash from the sale of the Jag and wanted to look at a new Ford 500 after she got the notory, so I figured that I could kill two birds with one stone.

Boy was I wrong. I entered Marcus Allen's Broadway Ford at about 1pm on a Wednesday. There was not a single customer inside, on the used car lot, or on the new car lot. I went inside and explained the situation- that we are completing a sale and are looking for a notorization and afterwards Mom wants to look at the 500.

The manager's response was to tell me to "f off" and that this was not a charity. This is odd, as I have spent over $100,000 on FoMoCo products in the past. I got my mom, the buyer, his witness for the transfer and left the store.

The Week day manager, believed to be David Zerker, a tall wirey 20 something with spiked hair, followed us out into the parking lot. He was screaming in broad daylight in the middle of a city street. I told him to quiet down and asked why they would treat a customer like that when Ford is in such financial trouble and their dealership was completely empty. This caused him to fly into a rage. He screamed that he didn't care about Ford's problems and that Ford and us can "Go F ourselves"

Zerker sprinted towards my group in an excited, threatening manner after we turned away to go to the car. He continued to screech like a stuck pig, getting so agitated that his voice was cracking. I felt genuinely threatened when he charged the group, although I am in my mid twenties the other people in my group were 60, 57 and 56 years old.

His gestures were very threatening and he kept clinching and unclinching his fists at the group. We continued towards our car, all while he continued to scream "get off MY property". We got in my Ford Expedition (MSRP 42,000 from Ford Motor Co.) and left.

I realize that they had no obligation to notorize anything. However, I did ask the manager nicely and they had zero customers. I stated that we had just sold a car and were looking to get a new one once the deal was final. If they were unable or unwilling to notorize, it would have been fine had he not lost his temper. It was very threatening.

My mom had been talking about test driving a Ford 500 or Mercury Milan for weeks. Now she won't even look at the commercials without getting upset. If I ever purchase another car from Ford Motor Company, it will not be at Marcus Allen's Broadway Ford.

I found this experience to be highly distressing. However, I have gotten good service from Ford dealerships in the past.

The oddness of this incident compelled me to write. Obviously this man is unstable and should not be working with other people. Avoid this dealership if you choose to buy a Ford product. No wonder it is empty in the middle of the day in a major city!!!! WOW!
