Please read my ripoff complaint and in anyway help me. I am a single mother of two children and what you are about to read you may understand. I purchased a vehicle from Sammie on july 3rd 2008 who works at this facility who stated he was the owner for $3050. He bought this vehicle from the auction here in sanford florida.
The paperwork states no warranty but he wrote that he would fix the ac no later than 7/9/08. He verbally stated that there was nothing else wrong with the vehicle but the front tire that he would replace this and the doors. I have witnesses of him verbally stating this information. On July 16th I brought the vehicle and picked it up with the ac working. He stated he put a new tire on but it was completely worn. He made me sign the ac was fixed which it was working so I signed.
On July 24th 08 the ac broke and I brought the vehicle back when it is convinient for him. On July 31st once again it was fixed. About another week later which I did not document the exact date it broke. I called him and told him he stated to call back so he can tell me when to bring the car in that its a leak somewhere. After that I numerously called and he would not return any of my calls. I had to use my friends phone where she blocked the number and he answered. I stated to him the same problem has occurred and have been trying to see when I can bring the car in to get fixed.
On September 3rd I dropped the vehicle off again this time taking a quick picture in my friends vehicle for proof that my vehicle was there since he will not give me any receipts of me taking the vehicle or what has been done. When I called Sammie since my car was there again and he said it may take 2 days I called and wanted to make sure that this time everything he said will get fixed.
He quickly got mad and loud and stated in profane language Im not fixing nothing but the ac and that he lost money on this deal. I stated to him that I felt that I was the one to lose out on money. He commented back that he would take the car back that he can get more money from the auction I stated fine I want my money back. He agreed. He then calls my cell number and states to pick up the vehicle that he wants it off the lot. I went and quickly called the nonemergency sanford police department and explained everything to them and asked if they can be there when I get the vehicle. They stated that this was a civil matter and they can not be involved in this case.
This same day I went with a friend having to leave work spoke with William the father of Sammie which he stated he was the owner. The father would not reemburse me the money he stated he will fix the ac and the doors.
On September 4th my friend went to pick my vehicle up from his shop and he did not give her a receipt for any services and stated to her that I have 10 days if this vehicles ac breaks after that Im on my own. Please you see what hassle i have been through not only to me but to my children.
It is not fair and I got ripped off I can not afford another car or to even fix this one. Sammie new I am a single parent of two children. Why did he do this to me please if you can direct me in a direction on what I can do. I feel as I got taken advantage of because I didnt know any better What if my ac breaks on day 11 or 12. I pray someone can help resolve or help me in this matter. thankyou very much for taking the time to read my letter
