On December 6, 2007 my husband I purchased through EBay a 1999 Acura Sedan 4-Door, VIN 19UUA564XXA027931 with 64,000.00 miles with a recent timing belt replaced for $8,500.00 from Automotive Network Connection, Inc. owned by Neil Marcellino. At the time of purchase we were under the impression we were getting what was advertised on Ebay. We went to our local Bank and did a wire transfer from our bank to his bank Colonial Bank in Florida. We received the title via overnight mail on December 10, 2007 and this is when we started to get suspicious. We started to do extensive background check on this Mr. Marcellino and we found out through Ebay that he previously had several other accounts in 2006 and that he received poor ratings. We also did searches on Google with great disappointment that this businessman had a history of underhanded dealings with the public. We called the bank in Florida to withdraw our money from his account but could not.

We then found and talked to the original owner of this vehicle and found out that the vehicle was sold to Mr. Marcellino two weeks prior to listing it on ebay and that the mileage on this car at that time was approximately 100,000 miles not the 64,000 that he portrayed in his listing on Ebay. We also called the local Acura car dealership to inquire if the above vehicle had been in there and had a timing belt replaced, it had not. This man has a body shop and more than likely has replaced the odometer with one with fewer miles. As of today we have not received the vehicle and since we have been deceived so far about this vehicle we do not know what kind of shape it will be when it arrives.

This is clearly against the Federal Odometer Law, 49 U.S.C. Section 32701-32711 (Formerly 15 U.S.C. Section 1981-1991) and 49 C.F.R. Sections 580 1-580.6.
