About a week ago I applied for a payday loan. I had 2 previous payday loans without a problem. As I was applying this time I kept getting phone calls telling me I was preapproved for a payday loan and they wanted to verify my information. Later I found out the loan was denied.
A couple days later I look into my account and find out that $33.98 had been taken out. Come to find out it was taken from an ID theft protection program through Last Chance Payday Loan. I had never applied on the site and seen anything about Id theft program. When I call the program they tell me it automatically is included when you apply for a Last Chance payday loan.
They told me this information was on their site when I applied for the loan. But the problem is I never applied on their site. They saw my information on another site and called me telling me I was preapproved and then denied me after I agreed to their loan. So after I complained to them and requested my refund they ended up denying me and then sending me the site that has the information up there about the ID theft program and their fees. However, I never saw this information! Any site I go to I am sure to read all the small print and this definitely was nowhere on any site I went to.
These people need to be stopped. How is it legal that they take your money when they see you are in need of money. We go to these people for help and the crooks are out there trying to bring us down even more! There is something that should be done about them!
