I saw an advertisement on Face Book for the Google Profit Club, and thought I'd check it out. There was little to read, but there was a story that seemed legitimate, since it stated "As seen on CNN, ABC, etc" so I thought, it's only $3.95 for the information, what can it hurt?

So I entered my credit card information, and when I clicked on the TERMS to read them, it would would not open. The only clickable icon that worked was "submit." So I clicked on it, thinking I could read the terms on the next page, WRONG!

I wasn't worried until I received a phone call from my bank alerting me to fraudulent use of my card. They asked if it was a legitimate charge of $74.93 out of Florida, of course I said no. To which I then canceled my card and they put a red flag on my account.

Once the transaction cleared, and I knew it was Google Profit Club, I tried to contact Google Profit Club to ask them what the charge was for. The refused to refund the money, stating I should have read the terms.

I explained to them that the terms did not come up when I clicked on them, and the only clickable button was "submit." They told me I shouldn't have gone through with it, and would not refund the $74.93 due to their terms.

No address is given for them, and the only information I have is what was received when they put the charge through on my credit card, an 800 number (800) 273-0068 and the state, Florida.

Oh, and they say the trial is for 5 days, but you have to call them (impossible) one day prior to cancel the membership. Thing is, you can't get through most the time.

After I spoke to them, I signed back in and was able to pull up the terms. Thing is, they should make sure the terms work on the "First" page, not after they suck up your money to remind you, you've been SCAMMED!

I canceled my card, and they will not be able to suck anymore money out me. I hope people who are considering this type of thing really researches before hand, because there are an awful lot of this type of fraud going on out there on the internet.

Also, I am very disappointed that Face Book doesn't research who they let advertise on their web site. CAREFUL!
