I am a young consumer and I was sent an offer from cross-country bank. I of course did not understand the severity of this action. The credit card was limited at $300.00 and my bill is currently reaching $1000.00 late fee charges. I would have had no problems with the bill but, I had HARDSHIPS acquring in my life which put my bills on pause. I have spoken with cross-country bank and their response was "We cannot put you on a hardship plan unless there is a NATURAL DISASTER or YOU ARE DEAD". This is how they responded. I told them I would need some time but, I would pay them. Cross-Country in turn kept harassing ma and called my ex-husband releasing my information to him on more then one occasion. I had asked them to stop calling on several occasions but, they will not.
My hardships include a possibly terminal illness, {multiple sclerosis} a very long and difficult divorce, and domestic violence while I was married andthrough divorce procedures. I informed them of my circumstances yet they still continue to harass me and are very cold-hearted about my situation.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!
