In my honest opinion, the offers given by poetry.com and there associates are not worth the email or paper they are wrote on. I have about 20 pomes that are posted on poetry.com. In addition, I have won five of their editor's choice awards. (These damn awards are given out to almost everyone, I know of four other people who got them...good reliable people too.)
I want the whole internet community to know that any organization associated with Poetry.com should not be trusted at all!!!
Oh yes, my poems were good and they have published them in a CD or book! But I could only see them if and when I bought the book/cd. Then I had to pay extra to put my biography there. Oh they, promise me the world and said, "Oh yes your good but to see how good you are you have to pay to see it!"
Give me a break I am not that stupid. I have a BS in nursing! If my poems are that damn good I will not have to pay diddly squat to get them published.
I will continue to post my poems on there site as my family and friends love to read them. However, I will not enter any more contests or take there word for anything.

I have now read several reports on various online poetry companies. I personally have been printed in books from International Society of Poets, Famous Poets Society, American Poets Society & Noble House. In addition, I have of course been published on Poetry.com's website. I have received 2 editor's choice awards(no, not everyone gets these). With those 2 editor's choice awards, my poetry was put on CD.I was also published in The Who's Who in Poetry. All of this was done with my permission. I did not buy every book I was published in. I did not make the 1st page of all those books. (I was published on the 1st page in one book.) If you read the Poetry.com site(it is clearly posted), it is obvious that any work you submit will be posted on the site.
I never contacted Noble House Publishing. They contacted me by mail. They did publish my poem on it's own page. They never asked me for any money, except for the price of the book if I wanted my own copy.(It was a reasonable amount.)
I have attended one convention for the ISP. I gained alot out of the experience. Some people did receive cash awards in addition to the other awards everyone who came received. The concerts, the dinners & the lecture series with published & award-winning poets was worth the price of the convention alone. I have known people who were not published in the books.
I am quite pleased with how my poetry is being handled. I am receiving the publicity I desired & am being noticed by other publishing companies. I know that as a result, I will eventually have my own books of poetry & stories published that I will receive payment for.
