Well where do I start, my husband and I were in the market for a new home and ran upon a fairly new subdivision in the area we wanted to live, we should have kept running and never looked back.
First I was told I was going to get this credit for the lot I picked and then after I signed the paperwork and I wasn't using Ryland Mortage then they tried to take to credit back from me, and not let me have it, just because I was smart emount to get my own loan.
Then the buliding began, it started late for who knows why and from the time the home was started there was issue after issue, they put plumbing in the wrong spots, the slab cracked even before the first wall went up, all I was told is this is "NORMAL", maybe in there eyes, but as I have found out in building a Ryland Home everything is "NORMAL" to them and everything is an excuse!!!
They finally got the plumbing right and sorta fixed the floor and started on the home. half way threw buliding the home the figured out they were doing it wrong and had to tear part of it down, the walls were never straight and they had to keep adjusting them and well "THE DRYWALL will never be right!!!!
Well the house was completed and we hadn't lived there 1 month and the drywall all cracked, the flooring would balloon up when the wind blew because the failed to once again build the house correctly, the doors were off line and would not close, our garage leaked, the shingle blew off, the HVAC is messed up and I could go on forever. For the first 5 months I felt like the contractors should have been helping pay half of the mortage, they lived at our house as much as we did.
Well the repairs lasted exactly 2 months and now they troubles have begun again, they just tell you what they want and send in contractors that again "HALF A**" do the work until the next time and they try to hide the truth about there work, they only have way fix what they tell you they are going to do and then, expect you to have to take work off several day for the poor quality and craftmanship of the product they claim to sell!!
We have never been so discussed in a home, and we have owned several !! I would never recommened anyone to build a Ryland home!!
We are so disscussed with our home that we are contacting a Lawyer to see what our right are to have them buy our home back!!!
We feel like all of the Ryland Salesman and Project Managers and Warranty Dept. they all go threw the school of "BULL S**T" they lie to you and tell you whatever just to shut you up and hopes that you will just take there "CRAP"
