Sudden Link Communication sub contracted with RH Cable, a Jacksonville, AR contractor, to remove cable from utility poles. RH Cable crews trespassed on private property and caused irreparable damage to personal property. RH Cable refused to accept responsibility for the damage and turned the claim over to Farmers Insurance. Estimates for damage totaled $4,000. Farmers offered $1,000 and advised I could accept the offer or file a lawsuit.
Sudden Link joined RH Cable in denying just and fair compensation for the damaged property. Sudden Link issues contracts to the lowest bidder and should expect sub standard performance. Sudden Link should be held accountable for the irresponsible actions of their sub contractors.
Unfortunately for us, when our property is damaged and Sudden Link and their sub contractors refuses to take responsibility, our only option is legal action which is costly and time consuming. Sudden Link not only condoned the inexcusable acts of RH Cable they defended them against a legitimate claim for damages.
Sudden Link should have insisted RH Cable accept responsibiluity for damages and supported a fair and reasonable claim for restitution.
Sudden Link is ultimately responsible.
