I sent the camera back and sent an email to Chris Anderson. FedEx sent me an email confirmation that the package made it to Sunshine Electronics in Brooklyn, NY today 1/10/08. I sent an email asking Chris when I should expect the non grey market camera and haven't heard anything yet. I still have not heard anything about the shipping credit Chris said he would apply to my credit card either. One thing for sure, some people are very, very bad at replying to emails.
Hopefully I recieve the non grey market camera soon. I really don't want to call customer service again. Email is much easier when you get someone that actually emails you back ASAP.

I checked my online statement for my credit card and it appears that the shipping costs for the return shipping has been paid by Sunshine Electronics. I am assuming this because the receipt I have for the charges from FedEx does not match what was charged to my card.
I hope that I get the camera soon.
Update to follow.

1/14/08: I still have not recieved my exchanged camera. I am going to give them until Wednesday 1/16/08 before I call customer service to find out where my camera is. I still have not recieved a response to both of my emails that were sent to Chris and "Simon."

1/15/08, 1:11 pm: Called customer service. Gave them my information and the gentlemen told me that they did recieve the camera and that I should see my exchange in the next couple of business days.
I asked for a tracking number and he said that the tracking number is sent instantly when the order is shipped. I will wait patiently for 2 business days only to see if it comes. If not, I will pursue other options.

I finally recieved my camera. I got the apckage, opened it immediately to check if I could register it on nikon's website. I am proud to say, yes. I am happy with the camera and my purchase, but I would be leary about purchasing from this company again.
Buyer information: do your research before you buy.
Also, I am still waiting on my shipping cost refund.
Case closed.

1/3/08 4:30pm Called the sales rep that helped me to patch me through to "Chris Anderson" a gentlemen by the name of "Henry" answered and took my information. He said that Chris contacted a lady named "Joanna" and she is going to email me the tracking number tonight at around 7:00 pm. He said that the order shows a friday delivery and to not worry about it that it will be here tomorrow 1/4/08. He said that he will make sure that the email with tracking number gets sent to me tonight before he leaves. He said typically when an order comes in, it is 2-3 business days to process and 2-3 days to ship and deliver. He said that with the holiday that it messed up a lot of orders and that they are working on it. He said again to not worry about it and that I should recieve the order tomorrow 1/4/08. I told him that I was tired of calling and trying to get a tracking number and that all I want is my order.
I hope and pray that 1.) I get the tracking number, 2.) The tracking number works, 3.) I get my camera as said tomorrow 1/4/08, 4.) I get all of the items that I ordered and 5.) that it is not made for a foreign market.

1/7/08 12:00 pm I talked with Chris Anderson. He stated that the camera I purchased is one of two that are listed on ebay. He sent me an email with an RMA number to return the camera body only. He said that upon receiving the camera body, they will in return ship the "legite" camara body at no upgrade charge/ cost. He also said that the camera that I should have purchased retails for a package of $1,250.00. I asked how would I/ consumer have know whether it was a "grey market" item or not and he said if you look at the manufacturer warranty. If it says standard manufacturer 1 year warranty it is legite, if it is blank or says standard seller warranty more than likely it is "grey market."
I am sending it back tomorrow, 1/8/08, and hoepfully when I get my new one it is NOT grey market. I asked about return shipping, he said to pay for it, but send him an email stating the amount so that he can refund the amount to my credit card. I plan on scanning the invoice for the shipping charge and sending him that as proof of shipping charge.
FYI: I did try registering the lens, that product registration was recognized by Nikon USA Corp.

I recieved my package. I tried to register my product and come to find out the camera body is a "grey market" item. I am going to contact sunshine today to find out what they are going to do to remedy this. If nothing, I will be sending my package, complete, back to sunshine for a full refund.
More to come.

I sent the grey market camera back this morning, only the camera body as directed by Chris. Anticipated delivery is 1/10/08. I have a tracking number and I am going to watch it to see when it arrives. According to Chris Anderson, he will reimburse me for the shipping charges. Hopefully I will recieve a legitimate camera late this week or early next week.
I will update the report once I have more information.
