Cingular wireless STOPPED offering coverage for the city I live in. I currently have been a customer with Cingular since 2000 and had 5 phones with them.

Approximately 1 year ago they shut off coverage service to our area in Mound City, Missouri. I then called them, about why our phones said "NO NETWORK COVERAGE". Well come to find out that because my daughter, 'which was on my plan" lived in another coverage area and used 50% of our plans minutes, CINGULAR could not cut my network coverage off.

All was fine untill December 2006 when my daughter changed phone companies...Therefore she did not use 50% of my plan. About 2 months later I was driving home from work and went to make a call and my cell phone said NO NETWORK COVERAGE. I went straight home and called Cingular. They told me that there was no network coverage for the area I lived in. I responded to them that okay I will find another company that could and would supply coverage in my area.

All was fine untill a couple months later when I received another bill from CINGULAR WIRELESS. WOW $1800.00, Thats right ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS. 5 PHONES AT $175.00 EACH for breaking my contract (This is now a contract for service that Cingular does not offer and a contract that THEY broke by not providing me service in my area anymore). Also late fees for non pament AND have turned this over to a collection agency...

I called them and there suggested fix: Pay my bill, they will turn my phone service back on (A SERVICE THEY DO NOT PROVIDE FOR MY AREA) and if THEY see that I have an OVER-USAGE of minutes (meaning my cell phones would be using other towers besides CINGULAR'S because remember they DO NOT offer coverage in my area) then they will "FLAG" my phones for disconnect, therefore I will not owe the early contract breakage fee's.
