MCI Wireless is attempting to get paid twice!!!!
I received a letter in the mail today asking to pay a bill for a cellphone that I closed out over six years ago. At the time I closed the phone out, they never canceled my service and kept charging me. I refused to pay the bill at the time.
After I received the collection notices, we came to an agreement and I paid the bill of $83.39 in 2003. Now they are attempting to collect a debt that was already paid.
To add insult to injury, if I refuse to pay, they are threatening to report me to the credit bureaus. If I need to add a statement to my credit report I will as I have no intention of paying this bill a second time.
