I have been with sprint now for just about 6 months and have hated every month of it. My fiance and I are on a sharetalk plan and have yet to receive a bill which was as-calculated with the sprint rep on the phone.

The latest in the series of mishaps is the fact that if you get the 7pm night and weekend upgrade for $10/mo, that does not go on your PLAN (we had a sharetalk plan), but rather goes on ONE PHONE. Every call I made this past month from 7-9pm was taking off our anytime minutes rather than being free because, contrary to what the sprint rep told me on the phone the day I signed up, the 7pm night & weekend minutes applied ONLY to my fiance's phone.

Prior to this, when first signing up for our service at the local Radio Shack store (which even sprint reps will tell you is a mistake) we were told if we got the "free and clear america" plan it was unlimited roaming. Not true, after a $180 bill I found we only had 50 minutes of roaming. We were told we would be given 100 minutes of roaming and that the rep "was not surprised" that this had happened when I told her I had signed up at a Radio Shack. To this day our bills state we have 50 roaming minutes available.

Still another disappointment is the fact that when you get PCS to PCS service, it only counts as free if you are on the PCS network. As a computer programmer, I can think of a maximum of about 30 minutes of coding time it would take to realize when a number is calling from off-network and is a PCS number. Hell Cingular has implemented it (or so they say).

Yet another misnomer is that when you have PCS to PCS calling, you call your own cell phone's number for voice mail - which is BILLABLE. You can't tell me THAT isn't a PCS to PCS call.

The last complaint I have regarding the HORRIBLE experience I've had with sprint completely throwing a wrench into my budget is the fact that when you have 7pm or 9pm minutes, you must MAKE THE CALL AFTER THAT TIME. For example, you start a call at 6:45pm and talk for a half hour - you have just been billed for 30 minutes of time, while 15 of it was after your free time (if you have 7pm night minutes). My local cell carrier (before sprint) which covers pretty much only the 3-state midwest area (US Cellular) was able to implement a system that automatically switched from billable to non-billable at the free-time start. Why can't sprint? Needless to say, upon switching this killed me a few dozen times.

I can't wait to get my T-mobile service, hopefully it will be better (I don't see how it could be much worse)

I know this for a fact since i too have tmobile service and know that the pcs to pcs wont work off network, and that the calls dont automatically roll over from peak to off peak time (your example of 6:45 - 7;15 all 30 mins of peak time) but in response to that, it works the same way, the other way around... if you make a call at 645 am and talk until 715 am (assuming that your night mins end at 7 am) all those calls are free, since it is night mins. you just have to be careful, and my only suggestion before signing up on anything is 1) read the terms of service and 2) use the buyers remorse peroid (alot of times its 14 days) and test the service to make sure it works for you. hope this helps!
