NRU is great! My boss invited me to seminar and it was very exciting. Lots of smiling people talking about all of the money they were making. How they made the money didn't really make sense to me, but that's ok, everyone was very positive. Back at work my boss talked more about it with me and we even started having NR meetings right in our office. We work in a mortgage office so we are all salesman and this just seemed great. When I learned that tuition was $18000 and that classes were only for three weeks I was a little concerned. My boss showed me how I could quickly recoup my money by encouraging my friends a family to join NR. I was hooked. I wasn't making much money selling mortgage's anyway. My boss showed me how I could get a student loan through education one. He explained that NRU wasn't accredited so I would have to use another school to get my student loan. He recommended Triton College. In about a week I had a student loan for $31000! Wow! After paying my 10.5% Loan fee of $3255, my NRU tuition of $18000, and buying some NRU books and CDs for $3500, I still had about $6000 to start investing in real estate. Awesome! Things have been going really well. I feel like part of a team. I am little concerned about my job though, my boss has started to really pressure me to sign up new people for NR. I now talk to all of my mortgage customers about NR. I'm afraid I might get fired if I don't sign up some NR people soon. I really haven't had time to sell any mortgages. I just learned that I have to sell NR to four other people before I will get paid anything by NR. Right now I am trying get my parents and brother to join. This would make my boss very happy. He has offered to take them all to dinner to tell them how great NR is. I've gone to many seminars and meetings now and it seems like we never really talk about how to invest in real estate. We just talk about how great NR is at teaching you about real estate and how we should get more people involved. I'd imagine that pretty soon we will learn more about actually investing. Last week I received a letter from Education One asking why I cancelled my classes at Triton College. I didn't know what to say. My boss said not to worry about it. It's not fraud or anything. They then sent me a letter stating I need to start paying back my student loan next month because I am not enrolled in an accredited school. I haven't been closing any loans at the mortgage office so I am concerned about how I will pay this back. My boss has told me that if I don't sign up someone for NR soon he will have to let me go. I am having trouble sleeping and I think I may be developing an ulcer. I'm sure this will pass. The future looks bright. Being part of NR has really changed my life! I really feel like I'm part of something! Something big!

Hi Eric,
I am trying to understand one thing in your comment. I hope I am reading it correct. I have been a part of NRU since OCT 2005 and you can retake a course. I don't want to be out of line.
If you sign up for a class and do not show up, you will lose your credits, but can sign up again. Also you have till 5:00 p.m. the day before to cancel your class without losing your credits. I know that for a fact I have attended 5 colleges and had to cancel classes the day before without a problem. I don't know what your ISA told you, but you have plenty time to cancel the class without losing any credits. My last college was in August 2007. Any classes you took you have 1 year to retake them and if you have a partner you can also take he/she class as well. After seeing your posting I did contact my ISA and he said as far as he know nothing has changed. Now if you aren't careful and don't take all your credits up by taking 5 colleges you can lose your credits, so you must keep up with that. On our 5th college we had to take all our credits up. I just suggest that if you have a partner that you'll take different courses, so when you to back to retake you can switch up.
As far as the $30,000, the person that bought me in has definitely made that last year, because he has all of his people that signed up under him to his home for dinner. AS far as me. I am not into the networking, I made that clear when I joined. I will network very soon because I do want to go forth with this and that is where the money is. I signed up strictly for the classes and the Community help and the Real Estate. I am part of the Northern Cal group and I tell you they have blown up big time.
I hope I helped you for the college coming up in December. Now please remember I didn't say I was totally happy with what is happening in NRU, but I do know about the credits first hand.

I've met eric and know this is not true and have had conversations with the ISA in question and it was made obvious#1 that you, eric, made attempts in the beginning of the process to work your business only to disappear shortly after. Then to file this report is absurd.
allow me to be frank: NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AS MUCH AS YOU!PERIOD! this is the best advice i've ever recieved about being in business for yourself.
Do you really expect to make that kind of money working 1-2 hrs a week expecting someone else to do it!? and i know those promises of guarenteeing that much income to be not true, it has been possible for those who ACT! and follow guidence, but not guarenteed!
Where is your personal initative??? You paid for education, as far as i know, you had one year to take classes, then one to repeat, you only showed to one college, when you had access to 4!!Your 1st college was last Dec., the fourth is coming up....what up dude? There is still time??
No one is going to make you successful, you need to take ALL OUT MASSIVE ACTION!
As far as i know your ISA went out of his way to assist you (not do it for you) only for you to disappear. Why don't you step up and tell us all how many programs you have bought and tried to get refunds after realizing that the company you purchase from doesn't dropship money into YOUR LAP?duuh I personally know it is over 3 of them!
There is an obvious confidence issue here and i suggest you go and find a personal development program before you keep spending money and doing chargebacks for RE programs expecting someone to do it for you!! You deserve to OWN your business, now act like you do!!!!
Good Luck.

It's sad to see you post this Eric,
We made a diligent effort for you to get your business moving, and you lacked committment by not showing up. You won't come to the colleges(you have only been to 1), i made it clear that this is YOUR business, and you have to take control. Like tom said "no one cares as much about your business as you". You knew this took time and effort, but failed to put in the effort. I would be willing, as i always have been, to sit down and work this out.
You call me....i'm not dragging you to success. Make a committed desicion, and take ACTION. i gave you many assignments you failed to complete, and went out of my way for you only to be accused online.?
You have bought multiple programs only to not do anything and try to get a refund, sounds like a personal initiative issue.
And we NEVER guarantee nothing....you guarentee your success.
i recommend you quit buying programs and get in here and get to work!
yours in success!

This type of business takes guts and determination. If the same person has purchased a number of Real Estate Investment Education Programs and has sent them all back calling them all "scam's" what does that tell you about the person buying the progams? I have personaly purchased this program called a "Regents" from Nouveau Riche and have completed a number of the classes. I Have not recieved a single bit of education from any other source except from Nouveau Riche. From the day I purchased my education
I went to work. I did not and do not to this day rely on anyone else for my income. I have been able to pay off all my education, cars, credit cards and all other debt. In the next 2 weeks I will send in a large check to my mortgage company and pay off my personal residence. This has only happened due to me taking the steps needed to build my business.
My suggestion to the writer of this lame report is to get off your back side and get to work. When you started this program even your wife was behind you, Why have you not kept going? I personaly saw the support you were given, I could hear the phone calls that were made for you, I know of the appointments that were made with you and you did not show up. No one ever did that for me, so why am I a success and am having to spend my time writting this response to a unfounded report. Take control of your life like so many people who have joined this amazing community have and as was said in the movie "A knights Tale" I have changed my stars, can you say the same?

I can personally say that I have work Very close with this company. Unfortunately, there will always be deceitful people out in the marketing field, and they try to keep up on those who act out of order. I'm sure that if there was a serious issue, The consumer should know to contact the Corporate office, then will appropriate action would be taken.
I've noticed one thing people who sign contracts Fail to READ THEM. On the contract (that has not changed in terms of repeatability for the last 2 years) It clearly states, the term to be 2 years, 1 year to use up your credits, and the second to REPEAT all the classes you or you tuition partner has taken (attended). Student have until 8:30pm the night before the class to change it, but can only attend a class that is not full.
You can spend thousands of dollars on weekend seminars, and even more on coaching programs (I have a friend who just spent 2k for him and his father to attend the Trump seminars, and then was upsold on a series of phone calls and a professional to come out for 3 days for….Get this. $30,000 more.
Nouveau Riche give you 2 years of classes $16k (6 scheduled for 2008) and 8 1/2hr coaching sessions to be added to a Regents for FREE… Not including the option of CEC (continuing education credits) and 5 other companies to help build your empire.
So, it should be clear as of now. I'm sorry there are people out there with shallow promises, but keep in mind, The ISA made those promises, not the contract, not the company, and ultimately the issue should have been brought to the Leadership (INSA Independent Nation Senior Advisor) or the IRA (Independent Regional Advisor) then brought to Corporate's attention. I hope the customer was able to take something away from the knowledge that is taught

I have been in contact with my Studen Advisor.
At this point I feel that my concerns have been rectified.
Sometimes in life we jump the gun and make mistakes and blame others for our shortcomings.
In retrospect I would like to apologize to both Brandon and Brian.
I admit when I feel I have been wronged I am quick to jusgement. However, After the cpmments and phone conversations I have had. I do feel now that I could have done a lot mor to ensure my own success.
I hope that I have not burned my bridges and I feel now that I may trust again.
To anyone who is interested in Nouveau Riche, please look into this company for your education.
Thank you,

The gentleman who is complaining and you who have responded are all unclear on the meaning of the titles and legal relationships involved.
I am an ITA (Independent Trainee Advisor) with Nouveau Riche. An ISA (Independent Student Advisor) has met their certification sales requirements and attended the college. Neither is an employee of Nouveau Riche, or an agent. Everyone marketing the education is an independent contractor. The names of the titles should give you a clue. Those who actually teach (College Instructors) have to undergo FBI background checks and must earn a minimum of $1million/year in whatever they are teaching. As for the integrity of the company, I have never seen better - and I have seen a few.
I am almost 90 days into the business, and am doing the work necessary to achieve success. Perhaps it helps that I am no stranger to hard work or success. I find it immensely more pleasurable to do this hard work for myself, instead of an employer, while learning to position myself to maintain wealth as I learn to build it. And you will never have control over your life working for someone else.
This is a business. If you are an ITA or an ISA, you are in business for yourself.
The marketing training really is self-improvement with a paycheck. But you have to have desire strong enough to work for what you want to accomplish.
The people I have met in the marketing side of this business come from many career sectors and are the best I have met anywhere - and I am a licensed attorney, having practiced law for over 20 years. We are a community that works together to support each other in our goals. The lazy, irresponsible types don't last long in this business. When good people get wind of that kind of behavior, they withdraw their support.
I know that Nouveau Riche takes it's reputation very seriously. If the story in this complaint is really true, then I would ask the company to take legal action against the ISA involved, and make accomodation on the money you expended on your education. If you were really interested in making money in marketing, you should not have partnered with anyone on your education. If I were Nouveau Riche, the most I would offer you would be an $8,000. credit towards your Regents, or the SEEK and Collections. Whenever you make a Nouveau Riche purchase, you sign an agreement with this company. READ IT.
If you put up money under someone else's name, signed nothing, and feel you got screwed, that's just plain stupid. You should at least have had a separate contract with your tuition partner. But like I said, if you're in business, coming up with the $16K makes more sense because you could take advantage of team sales and get certified after selling only 2 Regents. And by the way, the Regents tuition will increase in price for the first time after 12-31-08.
Personally, I think your story has a lot of holes and you're a lazy whiner. Why would you come up with $8k and not attend the college at your first oportunity? Why not wait until you could go to put up the cash? Why not come in at the $75. level and earn the cash? Nobody serious about success has time or is interested in people who whine, do not make a serious effort, or lack integrity. And anybody who knows a good thing when they see it will not be deterred by your story.

Although there are some things that your ISA did incorrectly, you have to realize that he/she is not there to make you money. You have to put fourth effort, and have a desire for success. Your ISA unless a proficient expert in short sales most likely would not be able to coach you on this strategy. This is why you paid your 16k for tuition with your partner, so you could go to the live college, learn from active practitioners in the field, that have to of made 1 million dollars the previous year practicing what they preach.
Another interesting fact is that Nouveau Riche is part of an online university called Nouveau University, a soon to be accredited (april 2009) bachelor and master degree granting institution. Nouveau Riche will be an accredited educational program in April 2009.
Recently Nouveau Riche was featured in SUCCESS and SUCCESS FROM HOME magazines. This company has a high level of integrity, it is personal development with a paycheck.
Weather you think you can become successful, or weather you think that you can't, YOU ARE RIGHT. You may not have become successful for a number of reasons. The bottom line is, there is a specific reason that there are only a select few number of people that create massive success in their lives. They focus on it with passion, and make changing their life the #1 priority.
Im sick of people complaining about the things that they haven't been able to do, and that they were scammed by Nouveau Riche. They were scammed by themselves for not taking massive action toward success.
I am a Nouveau Riche ISA that fully believes in this company and the high caliber of the individuals that are part of this community. We are on a mission to show people that there is an incredible opportunity to take on their lives and create massive success for themselves.
You can either join me in assisting other people changing their lives, or watch me do it while earning an incredible income.

It was your lack of inaction, and then you placed blame on the gentleman that was trying to help you. You went to the college and said you loved it, your are be untruthful. I remember the man that helped you even went and looked at some properties with you. How sad that you can not be responsible for your actions, and then lie about it.

There is no free lunch, there is no lottery ticket to success. No one is going to FIX this for us! Its time to WAKE UP and get to work and take advantage of the opportunites this economy provides. Time to quit saying "why" and whining about things and say "HOW??" How can i make a better life for my kids? How can i take advantage of opportunity? How can i do what it takes and follow leaders that have proven success? how can i be in business for myself? Solutions to your own problems my friends! yeah....NR wont make no one successful! I have bought and tried a few programs that turned out to be a scam or wanting you to spend more money along the way once you pay the initial first fee that you didn't know there would be more fees... I went to the NRU free seminar last Wednesday.
Once I saw the course cost, $6k-$18(16 or 18,) my mind already put up a red flag... I later did some research, I found nothing bad about NRU... Someone pointed me to this website from youtube. Well, I'm glad that person point me in the right direction. Well, let's see how the meeting go tomorrow... Anyone car to enlighten more on NRU, don't hesitate to drop by.

That phoney name tells me right off that what follows and what this set-up is all about is going to be a RIP-OFF.
It means new-rich and the only people who are going to be rich in this instance are the people who are going to depend on the FOOLS who do not understand the significance of the name TO GIVE THEM MONEY Which will be ripped off as these many complaints seem to verify.
Education is somewhat of a crap shoot anyway. It is a way of warehousing people until the job market can open up enough to assimulate them... I don't know very many people who are working in the fields they majored in in college and I don't know of many people who are really doing what they wanted to for a job. It is a crap shoot to think you will be able to get a job...any job... especially one in your field unless you majored in nursing or allied health or medicine or accounting...these days.
Most people I know had a friend or family member who got them a job, they just happened to find the job or they got into a network or they were at the right place at the right time.
These days, an Associates Degree is good enough to get you into a trade. I dont' know why there is such a huge emphasis on COLLEGE, University education when a good electrician, plumber or other tradesman can make a lot more consistently and carry their trade with them than a TYPICAL college graduate.
A B.S. or a B.A. doesn't go very far. The MINIMUM you have to have nowdays is a Master's Degree or even a PhD. and then you run the risk of being considered "overqualified."
EMPLOYERS WILL ALWAYS FIND A REASON NOT TO HIRE YOU!
Fake credentials from a fake institution of so-called higher learning are NOT an entry way into any place but debt.
ARE THESE PEOPLE EVEN ACREDITED BY A LEGITIMATE HIGHER EDUCATION ORGANIZATION? ARE THEY EVEN STATE-LICENSED?
You should have checked their credentials.
Sorry.
Check with the RIP OFF REPORT next time!

Wow, well, I just can't help but notice "Brandon" has very poor grammar, writing skills, and his spell checker must be broken. I mean, yea, I know he'll say "well, you don't have to be a good speller to be rich". LOL. They all say that, However, call me crazy here, but if you are refuting statements and accusations made about NRU ISA's and "leaders" being full of hot air and BS, well then, AT LEAST USE SPELL CHECK OR SEMI-GOOD WRITING SKILLS AND GRAMMAR! GEEZ!
I mean it's hard to take you serious when reading a rebuttal from a "leader" in the NRU organization and every other word is spelled incorrectly and it just reads horribly. Now, I'm sure you want to pick apart my posting, that's natural. But you see. I am at least enough of a business man to know that if the little red underline thingy on here comes up, it's probably spelled wrong Then again, some words aren't actually spelled wrong, but used in the wrong context, AND THAT'S EVEN SCARIER!!
In closing, there is a common trend here.
1) the people defending NRU or anything for that matter. Why are there even on this website? Ever wonder that? Is it because their conscious or guilt brings them here, just to "keep tabs" on potential negative postings?
2) WHY is is that those that post how great NRU is, the majority tend to be new to it all, and under the spell of financial freedom. Why don't they ever come back 2 years later like I did and post their success stories?
3) And finally. It seems like from what I read here on these postings from those defending the company, they were either "trash collectors" or "janitors", or other low level type careers and are just brand new to the company. Weird how that is.
anyway. I made it work for me. We buy and sell houses for high profits. We've closed 5 deals in the past 6 months and made 180,000 dollars profit doing it. So, who knows. it is what it is. Work hard, and instead of spending your time on the phones and conference calls with Bald guys from Utah tracking down "resume leads" or "prospecting", how about spending that time putting into action what you learned at the college and that's Real Estate. Just a thought...............................

To you Eric,
First off, in ANY business, whether it be NRU, or a standard 9-5 job, YOU, yes YOU have to do your due diligence, and be realistic. When I was in corporate america and interviewing with people every other year because I kept working for places that were "downsizing" or "merging" or "cutting back", and had to keep getting new jobs. They also make claims of other salespeople, you too can do what they did, but you would have to follow their footsteps, work hard, be dedicated, etc. Am I going to go to ripoff report and report them for misleading me? Of course not, NOW, if I were to find that not ONE person earned that type of income, and he flat out lied and misled me, then you have a case. But, if there are tens of thousands of people earning (enter whatever amount per month you wish here) and quitting their corporate jobs, spending time with their kids and family instead of in a corporate office or out of town on business, well then you too can do the same thing. They are not special, they did nothing different or take short cuts, you follow their lead, stay at it and you will succeed to.
Sorry to hear that out of tens of thousands of success stories, 4 seem to end up here, but I'm sure that when people started working at Ebay, or Google, or Yahoo!, they were told they were nuts too, and I'm sure there are aggrivated employees there that for whatever reason didn't get the returns or things they expected either, and ended up here on ripoff report angry, embarrased and spiteful.
I mean no offense, but if you "got taken advantage of twice", wouldnt you stop and think that maybe its you, and not the company? Really think about that one Eric,
Good Luck

Maybe Eric should look in the mirror, he may find the problem. Nouveau Riche is the single greatest company I have ever been a part of! Being a former garbage man I had a very secure and good paying job. But it was just that, A J.O.B. I was living pay check to pay check never getting ahead in securing myself for retirement. More importantly I didn't have the time I wanted to spend with my family. I was working 60-70 hours a week. I knew there was a very good opportunity to improve my life through real estate. Seven months after finding this wonderful opportunity call Nouveau Riche I was able to not only bring my wife home from her 9-5 J.O.B, but I was able to leave mine as well. Since we have been full time real estate investors and business owners with Nouveau Riche we have been able to purchase real estate and supplement our yearly income in just 3 months.
If you want a get rich quick solution, buy a lottery ticket! This opportunity will allow you to create wealth in real estate and in business if you get off your butt, put down the T.V remote and utilize the information provided. Education is power ONLY if applied with action! I have never been part of a company in my life! That sometimes cares more about my success then I may at times. I found it here. This has been the most profound experience of my life and has drastically improved the quality of my life, not only financially but personally. THANK GOD FOR NOUVEAU RICHE AND IT'S FOUNDERS!

I hope all of you reading this post from above realize that it is tongue-in-cheek:
"Give it a chance!
Something big!"
So, a person can buy an education in R/E from NRU for $16,000. I can draft 4 people into the same contract and have some of my education tuition reimbursed. How does this work? Has anyone here ever received tuition reimbursement from NRU?
Basically, they are recruiting people who are too dumb to know how to invest, to invest in investing. Then, they introduce (hopefully licensed) real estate agents to handle their R/E transactions and NRU is receiving some money from those sales commissions, right?
Isn't America beautiful?

I am currently involved with the Nouveau Riche University and been so for a little over 2 months now.
So far I have heard nothing but good things about this company. It is also not only a company, but a University. It is the only real estate education company that has the American Council on Education Recommendation, and that means a lot. That means you can transfer credits with over 1,000 colleges that cooperate with the ACE program.
"The other thing that really bothers me is the company states that they do not make promises as to the income one can make with the education they sell. This may me true for the company, but it is not for thier ISA's. The ISA's are the independent contractors that sell thier programs and apparently for them anything is fair game as long as they make the sale.
My ISA had told me minimum income in 6 months would be $30,000 from short sales, but to date I have not made one sale."
This is definitely NOT a company problem. Sure there may be people within the company that make statements that they really shouldn't.
If someone gave you false expectations, then it is a person's fault. NOT the company's fault.
This company has been nothing but credible, and the ISA's have been nothing but helpful.
Do your due diligence, because the more you seriously look into it, the better it looks, and the more real it definitely proves to be.

"If someone gave you false expectations, then it is a person's fault. NOT the company's fault."
That's not correct.
Legally, ethically, and morally, the actions of an agent acting within the scope of his charge are usually attributed to the principal/employer. When the agent is a marketer of the principal's product, and unless his claims are completely unworthy of credence, his statements as to the quality of the product are DEFINITELY imputed to the principal/employer.
In other words, the statements of the agent/salesman ARE the statements of the company. And with good reason: the managament of the company is the only entity with any control over its agents, and is thus the only entity that can ensure that the agents aren't acting unethically.
Thus, the company itself is accountable for failing to ensure an ethical marketing force, and for preventing the development of a culture of dishonesty (if such exists).
I don't know enough about the orginzation that is the subject of this complaint to surmise either way on the complaint's validity, but it is no excuse that the people who may have made deceptive statements were only employees or even independent contractors.

Eric, Unfortunately you have been a victim of a dishonest salesman. Every company has them. But I wanted to give my complete vote of confidence to this company because it stands for something I have not found with other companies like it. If you feel so betrayed I would suggest you speak to a Regional Vice President within the company to discuss your options at this point. I am in the process of purchasing a Regents tuition and I was also extremely concerned that my mentor would run with the money and never help me. I spoke with a Regional Vice president about this issue and he told me if this were to ever happen, to come straight to him.
Nouveau Riche's ISA contractes expire every year to weed out dishonest individuals who go against what this company is all about.... helping people change their lives. I would suggest talking to an RVP to discuss how to reconcile the issues you have instead of spoiling this oppurtunity for someone who comes across your complaint. For those individuals..for every one complaint there are at least 20 successes.

Hmmmmm, just a thought, but how is putting your parents or yourself into debt by spending 30,50,100,200 thousand dollars on an "education" at a traditional university for 4 years, sometimes longer, eating ramen noodles, pbj sandwiches, and just scaping to get by, working part time at the bookstore or subway, or relying on your parents for beer money, i mean food and shelter.
You get out of said college, and well...now what??!! Oh, put my "RESUME'" on any one of the dozens of "Americans in the rat race looking for a new race, post your resume here" websites. hotjobs, careerbuilder, monster, etc.
Get out of college, straight to hotjobs! Put up your Resume' of your skills, goals, etc. And because you have a peice of paper from said university, you get to go on oh, 3, 4,maybe 5 interviews (for those of you that come from privileged families, im sure mommy or daddy can get you a job, if they can do that, why spend 150k on college, just goof off for a few years then ask daddy to get you a job) But for the rest of the schlubs out there, ya gotta put your resume on monster! AND then go to numerous interviews in high rise stale corporate buildings (gross!), and then hope and pray that the other 25 guys just like you that applied for the job they saw on hotjobs do not a)
Have parents or friend/family that already works there and you lose the job because they hire their friend or b)a girl hotter than you, or spent more than you on "college" gets it instead of you or c) you really don't even want this job, you are just doing what you were taught in college, get a job! so the interviewer can read you like a book and knows that you have no business applying for this job and that you really would rather be back in college at a keg party spending mom and dads money.
my point is this. traditional colleges yes, they provide a great experience for young kids out of high school, they are on their own, independent, allll those things, AND you learned how to pass tests and write papers, looooooooooooong papers that ramble on about nothing. but after about 20 years and you finally pay off those loans and worked 10,000 hours for someone else and probably got fired, changed jobs, quit numerous jobs, you have nothing.
Why not spend 10k on education that "immediately", as in the first year or sooner CAN if you work hard and stick with it, earn you money instantly, and teach you how to be an entrepreneur, run your own business, tax strategies, and build a foundation for your family and future. just a thought.
PS, for you out there saying "well, you can't even spell or your typing sucks" just goes to prove that you don't have to be a good typer or speller to be rich.
