Back in October, 2001 I ordered a really expensive laptop computer from HSN. I had moved and made several attempts with HSN to get my shipping address correct. Apparently, some of the folks that work at HSN do not know what they are doing.

On some of the orders I placed with HSN, they were sent to the correct address. Other orders were shipped to my PO Box. Luckily, I was still in town and checking my PO box on a regular basis. Of course, if I hadn't picked the stuff up from the post office they would have eventually been sent back to HSN.

The item in question, the $2000 laptop computer, was sent to my previous home address. I found out that the laptop computer was going to be shipped to the wrong address and tried to correct it. I was told the order could not be changed. I tried to cancel the order and they would not let me do that either. I had placed a change of address with the post office. The laptop computer was shipped via Federal Express, which knew nothing of my moving. Of note, I did not authorize Federal Express shipping on this item.

The computer was shipped to my old residence, some sleeze bag who was occupying the house at the time decided to sign for it and keep it for him/herself. I did finally get a signature on this and told HSN that it was not mine. That didn't seem to concern them. They still were not going to refund my money order send me another laptop. I got so fed up with the whole situation that I just dropped it. Now I have collections people calling me about it. Now we are back to square one. HSN is trying to tell me it is too late to do anything.

My current plan is to write to HSN customer service and get a copy of the proof of delivery from HSN. I haven't really decided on what other course of action I will take after that.
