I made four purchases from National Sports Services. ($29, $15, $25 and $25)The first three times that I made purchases from them, the teams that they selected, won. However, the fourth time, the team that they selected lost.
Their ads state: " If this game doesn't win," you receive Dave Cokins action baseball picks for the remainder of the month for free. The fourth game happened to be played on June 18, 2008. That was the game that lost.
Did jimfeist.com e-mail me, or phone me, with the free play that I was entitled to on June 19th? No. I waited until 3 o'clock pacific time. They never called. Therefore, I was the one who had to call National Sports Services.
When I called National Sports Services on June 19th, I spoke to a man named J.J.. I told J.J. that Dave Cokin's 10 star baseball game lost last night. I asked J.J., "What is Dave's baseball pick for tonight?" Instead of J.J. giving me my free baseball pick that was promised me, since the team that Dave Cokin picked on June 18th lost, J.J. asked me: "How much did you bet on the game last night?" When I told J.J. that I bet $200 on June 18th, J.J. said to me: "What? You bet $200 on the game last night? You are only supposed to bet $25 on a game like that." Right away, J.J. called me a high-roller.
Why in the world would I bet only $25 on a game where I had to pay $25 to National Sports Services to get the winning team? That is the dumbest thing that I have ever heard. J.J. said to me "hold on. You will get your free play."
J.J. then started hustling me. He only charged my credit cards almost $26,000! You call that free? That's what National Sports Services promised in their ad!
Then on June 20th, I spoke to Fred. Fred said to me: "Let's get this transaction finished." Fred asked me: "Don't you have another credit card? Do you have savings? Where is your money? Is your money in stocks?"
If I was a high-roller, how come I still have a balance due to National Sports Services of $10,150? If I was a high-roller. I would have purchased Dave Cokin's baseball season package on April 1st. That is when the baseball season started. Why would I all of a sudden wake up on June 19th and June 20th and decide that I wanted to buy Dave Cokin's baseball package for the rest of the season? This, the two days following a Dave Cokin 10 star loser!
I didn't make any purchases from National Sports Services the days that followed their winning picks. Why would I want to spend $40,000 with them the day following a losing pick? I wouldn't. They hustle you. And, they put sales pressure on you. They tape your message to make it appear as if you really were calling them up to make a purchase. All of this because they fail to deliver what they promise in their ad. (Buy Dave Cokin's guaranteed winner today. If this game doesn't win, you receive his picks for the rest of the month for free) You call $40,000 free? All this because they are permitted to post false ads on the internet!
