JUST MFG., INC - Fry's Electronics Inc 6-8 week rebate return time (stated on rebate form) morfs into 8-12 week rebate return time when visiting Distr. web site. Still looks like bate and switch!!! White Bear Lake Minnesota

I am awaiting a $20 rebate from JUST MFG.,INC.(JPC). They are the manufacturers of the JPC 766 ATX 485 watt power supply that I purchased for a new computer. I submitted my rebate form in the proper time with the proper required information and attachments (UPC code, receipts, ect.). In fact, my first telephone call to the company revealed that they had received my rebate on 01-30-04 and were processing it.

When the rebate check never materialized, I made a second call (04-19-04). I got a runaround about the company being swamped with rebate requests and an allusion to the fact that there was not enough personnel to handle the work load. The rebate form clearly states that rebates will be processed in 6-8 weeks.

I am now in the 11th week of waiting. Also, I have gone up to Fry's (distributers of JPC products) customer service web page and the processing time changes to 8-12 weeks; also they have no control over manufacturer's difficulties in processing rebates (that's understandable).

I've had manufacturer's forget rebates in the past; I don't want that to happen this time. I would like other consumers to know about companies that are not honoring their rebate commitments.
