Purchaseing the "Box Office Express" to date has been the biggest waste of money, time, and effort that I've experienced. When my machine arrived the upper monitor wasn't installed. I asked about the monitor and was told they are on back order and will arive by the time my machine gets placed.

The machine was shipped to my house and sat in my garage for 4 months while their "wonderful" placement team found a home for it. When they did finally place the machine after I called every single day I was told I had to pay 2,500 for them to relocated it. I have a letter from James MacArthur that says "AED will relocate all machines for the life of the business At no additional costs" When I brought this to the attention of Ed Farlow the "customer service manager" he played a word game with the meaning of relocate.

I was quoted 1,800 one day to move the machine and the very next it was 2,500. Both quotes came from Ed. They had me over a barrel and they knew it. They promised big returns, so far my machine has been in the field for 45 days and I have only rented 10 movies. They can tell you it is lack of effort but that is total BS. The first week my machine didn't work @ all. When it did work, it locked up every 2 days so I had to drive 30 mins. each way to reboot the machine.

I have my machine in very high traffic area with tons of marketing dollars spent. Now I am being told to have the upper monitor installed is 2,000. They are so full of @#$@#. I wasn't told about any of the additional costs to operate my business, nor was I told it was a full time job. All this and no money. Today my issue is with the machine not collecting on my credit cards. I have not seen one cent from my rentals because the machine isn't transmitting correctly. I have been on hold with customer support for hours(no joke) Then when i am lucky enough to get someone they have me do a few things no of which work and tell me they'll call me back which of course they don't do. I just hung up with Ed, his exact words to me were "there is nothing I can do to help you" What kind of BS is that.

As for James MacArthur asking people to call him with questions, I have tries that. The man HIDES, he will not talk to me. Can you imagine not talking to the people that make you money?

James if you read this message and I hope you do, CALL ME. ED has my number there are a bunch of machine owners that are not happy. Something needs to be done!!!!!
Well I'm seeing all they care is making money. I was set to buy 3 machines now

Future Of Video Rental

BEWARE, I work for MovieBank USA. We sell a similar product and I have spoken to a lot of people who have dealt with AED. There only interest is to sell the machine; they have absolutely no concern for after sales service. The company that makes the machine, Riello, is actually a pretty decent manufacture. They just happen to have chosen the worst people imaginable to distribute there machines in the states. We have just opened in the states this year and have come across many of these AED machines that are just sitting there broken. If you are interested in this technology come check us out. We are the exclusive distributor for Video System Italia, the world leader in this technology with over 13 years worth of experience. By the time most people read this post AED will probably not be around. They currently are taking orders and not delivering the product. I wish everyone the best of luck in getting there money back.

Jim MacArthur is a WEAZEL who hides from his customers

I too have been robbed from American Entertainment. I bought a machine 8 months ago and to this date it has not worked at all. I called Mr. MacArthur and the A*shole who answered his phone said, I quote, " Jim is THE PRESIDENT and he does not speak to his customers." I asked, "Are you kidding me, he will not speak to me, even though I am threatening legal remedies?" I then asked if I could possible schedule an appointment with him to discussed some issues that We have with the way his company is handling his affairs. They said again."He will not speak to customers. What a damn Weazel.
