They just called me about my Protect America account that PA canceled on me and would not reinstate, years ago. The "woman" on the phone made it seem as if Anderson Crenshaw was a law office. I had to ask her 3 times before she finally said they were an "agency". I specifically asked if they were a law office or a collection agency. She said "We are Anderson Crenshaw and Associates" like that means anything to me. She eventually told me that Anderson Crenshaw and Associates will file a civil lawsuit in a court of law against me. Hmmmm, last time I checked the FDCPA, that is against the rules. PA can file a suit but, a third party collection agency cannot.
I really hope they call me again. As ignorant as their collectors are, I would love to continue documenting their threats and turn everything over to the FTC.

Don't waste your time with Jared or anyone else. Anderson Crenshaw has a lawyer named Steven Dunn. He maintains the thinly-veiled fiction that he has an independent law practice, but in fact his office address is identical to Anderson Crenshaw's (12801 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75243) and I would be very surprised if he had any clients besides Anderson Crenshaw, who have multiple parties suing them. No one at the incredibly secretive Anderson Crenshaw will give you his contact information or even tell you who he is, but I will. I obtained it from the many, many lawsuits filed against Anderson Crenshaw. (See, they can't pull this nonsense with the courts.)

By the way, when sued, Mr. Dunn settles. They don't refuse to deal in court the way they do on the phone. They don't use profanity or threats to judges and courts. That's just for the powerless and the weak.
By the way, despite whatever they tell you, Anderson Crenshaw is not located in a federal building (type the address into Google Maps and you'll see it has many commercial clients but no federal agencies), as I was told -- they claim this is why they don't accept payment by mail. It's a lie. Another is that they don't actually keep the payments and are on "flat retainers" with clients for whom they collect; this is to convince you that they are just "doing their job" and don't care whether the debt is collected. In fact, in a New Mexico class action suit, the CEO of Anderson Crenshaw (big surprise -- his name isn't Anderson or Crenshaw) claimed that they had obtained an assignment of the underlying debt.
