MWI Connections, Fleet Credit Card Service rip-off charged my credit card without permission or contact fraudulent charges Connecticut

When I opened my most recent statement from Fleet Credit Card Service I noticed a charge for $89.95 to MWI Connections. This name rang no bells with me, and I was sure I hadn't purchased anything from anyone by that name. So I made a call to my friendly credit card company.

I was first asked if I had called the toll free number included in the company name. Then I was informed that MWI Connections is somehow affiliated with my credit card company, that this must have been a mistake and they would happily remove the charge from my bill. I asked the nice lady who was smacking her gum in my ear who authorized this charge. She told me that MWI must have called me and that I authorized the charge. Only, I NEVER do that.

It seem that all MWI has to do is tell my credit card company that I authorized it and they happily charge the account. The gum smacking lady assures me that they have now put a block on my account and no charges can ever be made again to this account number by MWI. I will, however, be checking my bill much closer now.

Then I called the toll free (I hope) number to MWI connections and was told that I cashed some $4 check they sent me in the mail and that that is how my card got charged for $89.95. But I NEVER do that either.

So if anyone knows any further recourse that I can take against this company I'd like to know.
