bought a Motorola V.60 cell phone from Amazon on September 30, 2002. In Amazon’s rebate form, it’s said that this order is valid for a $100 T-Mobile rebate between July 15 and October 31, 2002. The rebate form is sent out on time, and meets all of the requirements.
I received the first letter from Young-America rebate center dated on December 23, 2002. It’s said that the rebate will be denied because it’s only for the order between 7/15/02 and 8/31/02.

I called the Rebate Center’s phone number 877-311-8853 on December 26, 2002. I told a gentleman on the phone that it’s written in the rebate form that the rebate is valid for order between July 15 and October 31, 2002. The gentleman told me that he found the promotion period was extended to October 31, 2002, and the rebate will be honored. (I saw the same information for promotion extension when I bought the phone from Amazon web site.) He said I would receive the check in about 30 or 40 days. When I asked if I should call again, he answered “NO”.
I received a 2nd letter from Young-America rebate center dated on January 20, 2003, and received on February 10, 2003. The trace number of this letter is “5023-13 389516362 0”.

It’s said again that the rebate is not valid because it’s for the order between 7/15/02 and 8/31/02. I called Young-America phone number 877-311-8853 on February 10, 2003. A CSR lady and her manager Jean said the rebate processing has been “closed” on February 3 and they can not honor this rebate. (I can not believe it takes 20 days for the letter to arrive my home address. The rebate center must have sent out the letter much later than January 20, 2003.)

It’s Young-America rebate center’s mistake that makes me lose my rebate, but the Custom Service Representatives at Young-America just rudely said that they have nothing to do to correct the mistake. I promise all I said is true and correct. I want to do something to get justice and get my money back.
