PORTFOLIO RECOVERY ASSOICATES MONEY SCAM NORFOLK Virginia

I just received a phone call from Portfolio Recovery Associates at my work phone number.....The woman stated that she is calling to collect a debt from Capital One that was opened in 1998.....I told her I've never had a Capital One Credit Card applied with them but was declined. She then verified the address she had and the last for numbers of my social and they were correct.

I told her again I've never had a Capital One Credit Card....She said could someone have used my information....I said I don't think so.....I told her I check all 3 credit reports everyday and I've never seen a Capital One Credit Card on there.....I then asked her how she got my work phone number.....She stated that it was on the application from Capital One....I said how is that since I've only been at this job for 2 1/2 years.....

This company has got to be a scam....They are getting people's personal information and calling them and saying they own thousands of dollars on accounts that over 10 years old......How can they get away with this.....I'M NOT PAYING THEM A D*MN DIME!!!!
