I had a First Premier Bank Credit Card. Like many others I paid $179 on a balance of $300 right away for a credit challenged card. This company was pathetic with high interest and added on charges. I finally got tired of them and after being threatened by a person on the phone about a payment told them it would never be paid.

So due to a lot of medical bills I would up filing bankrutpcy, a Chapter 7, total wipeout. First Premier was the first account I listed. The debt is gone, they were notified.

About a week after I got the discharge letter I got a notice from Bay Area Collections that I owed this charge. Called Bay Area Collections to be told that someone else had already been sold my account. Called them notified that it was taken care of in bankrutpcy gave my Lawyer's name her address her phone number and case number. You'd think end of story, right? Wrong. A few weeks later I got another letter from Bay Area Collections. I called them back gave them same info and let them know they were violating Federal Bankruptcy Laws regarding this, that it was a debt that no longer existed.

To this day I still get things from various collection agencies trying to collect on First Premier Bank's debt. This is ridiculous. The company refuses to follow Federal guidelines and is risking a major lawsuit. I have turned everything over to my bankruptcy attorney, she loves it when idiots violate Federal Law, more money for her. She will let me know if and when it needs to go to court.
