In November, 2007, I bought some Tupperware online using my Pay-Pal Credit card number. I paid the bill, and assumed that all was ok. I ordered nothing else using the Paypal service because I didn't like the fact that they didn't send a paper bill and they wanted your bank account information to deduct payment from your bank account, a situation I did not like. Then on Jan. 28, 2008, I received a bill in the mail for $170.39. I was stunned. I had not bought anything since paying for my Tupperware. I called the Paypal Customer Service number and spoke to a lady who said I had paid for the Tupperware, but that a late fee had been applied along with subsequent late fees totaling $179.39. I was never contacted by Paypal at anytime since paying off my bill and was totally unaware of any late fees. Although they had assured me that they would send me a paper bill by mail each month, the first I received since Nov, 2007 came on Jan. 28. 2008. The girl at Paypal said someone must be using my paypal Plus card which was not the case. Paypal engaged in unfair and deceptive billing practices, and I would not like to have to pay them a cent; however, she said she'd take one late payment fee off, that was the best she could do. Needless to say, I closed my account and said I would send in the remaining amount of $151.39 as soon as possible. I am very disheartened. I did add that I wanted to register a complaint against Paypal online, and have done it. Hopefully, it will prevent further ripoffs by PayPal. Perhaps a class action suite is in order.
