Visa Aspire has given customer service a bad name and has also damaged my credit score. According to my bill statement from Aspire Visa's Credit Card Company it says that I have charged a total of $41.50 purchases to my current account.

I've not even been able to use my card because I haven't paid my activation fee yet. I paid $20 of it 3 months ago and haven't sent in anymore payments. Now they are charging me late fees and interest on an activation fee, not purchases, but are saying that I have used my card to purchase items. There is no detail of what I have bought or where I have bought these such items.

Presently, I owe them $237.35 or a minimum payment of $60. I am not sending any payments for a card that I can't even use. I have called the company's customer service line diligently and have always been kept on hold for 30 minutes or longer just to wait for a customer service representative.

And then when someone does answer, they don't speak English clearly and get confused as to what I am saying to them. Then when they put me on hold to bring up my account, I am on hold for another 30 minutes or they just hang up the phone on me when I ask to cancel my account.

This is ridiculous and I want this to stop. I wouldn't doubt the fact that they have reported this so-called "past-due" account to my credit score. I am a 22 year old college student who has only had 1 other credit card before this and have closed that account.

I have not had another credit card until Aspire Visa came along. Now I have tried to apply for a regular Visa account and they tell me my credit isn't good enough. Makes you wonder huh?

If anyone else has had these kinds of problems with this company, please let me know. Maybe we can prevent them from taking advantage of innocent, helpless victims (like ourselves) ever again.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE INDEED!!!

I had Aspire Visa for about five years without anyproblems, what i liked about there credit card was that they always gave me 6 weeks to pay my bill, but one day i received a letter stateing that it was switching ownership and was going to be under differant management, but that everything would stay the same for exsiting customers,so i thought nothing of it and threw the letter away.

When i received my bill 2weeks early i gave them a call only to be put on hold for 30 mins or so,and i too got a lady who didnt speak proper english,it was strange since every other time i called i was greeted with an english speaking person that was kind an considerate, this new person was not kind at all, they didnt want to hear me talk just themselves, what bothered me most was that my bill was for the past month and things i had charged that were"nt do for another 6 weeks, when i ask for them to make the nessasary corrections, the put me on hold for 15 mins.

When they finnaly came back it was a differant person a man ,again that spoke broken english asking me what the problem was and why i didnt want to pay my bill.He insisted that the company hasnt changed and that my billing cycle was correct and that i pay or late fees would be added till everything was payed.

Iam not a pateint person,so i kindly payed my bill in full and closed my account.Dont know what happened to Aspire but its just not the same anymore. dont think my story helped any ,just had to put my 2 cents in. "BEWARE OF ASPIRE VISA" :-(
