When I signed up with DFMS, my credit was fine. I only went with the company because they promised they could eliminate my debt quicker, and although my credit score would initially be affected, they would put me into their 'credit cleanup' program and fix my credit problems.
I signed up with the company and sent them $275/month for the last 30 months. Since that time, they have not settled any of my debts and now they are no where to be found. Their phone number no longer works and their adress is 'return to sender.' I think my $275/month is just gone! I feel like I have no recourse? People shouldn't be able to do this.
Now I have a very poor credit score, creditors breathing down my neck and approximately $3000 down the drain. The think that is most upsetting is that I would have never signed up if it weren't for the 'credit cleanup' program. I am worse off now than I was when I started and now I am being faced with bankruptcy.
I had problems with this company about a year ago and called and talked to the owner herself, Renee Everhart. She talked me into staying. Big mistake!
I talked to a lawyer this morning and he stated that most likely I am not going to be able to recoup the money. This just doesn't seem fair. Maybe this report will lead to something.
