For about 4 days I received calls on my mobile phone while I was at work. I did not know the number and always missed them. Finally I answered and spoke with a man with a middle-eastern accent. He told me that my application for a credit card had been approved. At the time I was trying to build my credit and thought I had indeed filled out an application.

He went on to say that he was calling to confirm infomation that he had. He asked my address, full name, age, and date of birth. He then asked if I had a savings or checking account. I told him yes and he said that he would need my checking account number in order to process the card fee ($188.00).

At this time I became hesitant to give him the number and I asked if I could receive some information before I proceed. He told me that all the information would be sent along with the card after I gave the account number.

Since I was work and thought this was a real company, I gave hime the number. He told me that someone would call my bank to make sure everything was alright and that I would receive another phone call from someone at First Capital to finalize everything. He then gave me a reservation number and a telephone number and hung up.

About and hour later I received a call from another person from First Capital and "finalized" the transaction.

The next day I was thinking about everything and I looked at the number in the memory of my mobile phone. I was curious as to where the company was located and went on the internet to do a search.

Sure enough there was a hit a Rip-off Report.com. After reading the stories of others I was worried and mad.

In the end I had to close my checking account in order for them not to get my money. I'm thinking about getting a new mobile phone number too.
