I first became aware of Trade Electronics when I was looking to leave my present employer for another position. I didn't seek them out, they actually contacted me via email and after reading their proposal for a home business I was really excited about working for them as the idea of making twice the money than my old job, plus working at home and with computers, it was an easy sell for me.
After thinking about it for a couple weeks and actually talking to "Karina" I took the position and put my two weeks notice in at my old job. I left my old job in mid December of 2005 and decided to take some time off for moving to a new apartment and for the holidays and started for Trade Electronics after the new year (2006). I first became weary of Trade Electronics after repeated attempts to get information regarding health and dental insurance information as Karina was not good at supplying this info, which I felt I should have available when I start. I didn't think much of it and decided to start working for them.
In my talks with Karina, she indicated that I would deal with resellers around my area, so I thought that was good as I didn't have to do any long distance calling, it would be all local. She also indicated that I would be supplied with leads that signed on via the website, which was good to as I didn't have to cold call anyone in order to get business, it would be all warm leads. Both of these proved to be untrue as I was calling all over the United States and I was hardly getting any leads from her, just like or two throughout the day. So I ended up getting my own leads through the internet and calling on PC builders and resellers that I could find in my state (Michigan).
Karina indicated that I forgot to fill out the call reports the first couple of days, which were my fault as I was doing all emails as my phone was being installed. So after my phone was hooked up, I began making phone calls and logging all the calls on my call report, which weren't that many as I wasn't getting much from Karina and I was still figuring out who to call.
After the first week, I asked about pay and when will I get my first check. After several attempts asking about this, she indicated that the pay frequency is bi-weekly, so I would have to wait another week for a paycheck. So, I waited for another week, just working and doing what I could do. After the second week was over, I began to ask about when checks would be sent out. At this time, I had bills that were due and needed money to pay them and things were getting tight. Again, it was like pulling teeth with her, took her a long time to get back with me. After finally hearing back from her, she said that I wasn't doing enough phone calls and needed to do more. Now, she was getting all my reports for those two weeks and never said anything about my quanity of calls. So, she used this as an excuse to further delay me getting a response about my paycheck. At this point, I'm late with a lot of my bills and it's really stressing me out. I contantly stressed that I need the money or I'm in trouble financially. She didn't really care too much about that. She also said that I wasn't getting enough info on my call reports. That puzzled me as many of the people that I called were either not home or maybe on the phone and got their voicemail or their answering machine.
So, I agreed to do increase my phone calls for the following Monday, which I did, wrote several pages of phone reports and sent them to her. Now, I'm hurting finacially and her response was that I wasn't getting much information on my calls, which I told her, what am I supposed to put down when nobody is home? She didn't have much of a response to this. Finally, I got so frustrated and felt that it didn't matter what I did, I would never get a paycheck from this company. I told her that I'm not doing this anymore and I'm parting ways.
I did some further digging into this company and found a couple other people who had the same issues with Trade Electronics as I did, which felt a little better as I know I wasn't the only one, but still didn't help my situation.
So, I tried looking at legal action against them, but couldn't find anyone in Florida who was either interested or didn't think it was worth their time or the money involved. I really wish I could do something against them to get back at them for what they did to me and to stop them from doing this to anyone else. I did report them to BBB in that area, along with the Attorney General of Florida and a few other sites that I posted my issues with them.
I wish I could do more, but my financial situation made it impossible for me to carry anything out. Hopefully someone does something about them as this company should not be able to operate in this country or anywhere for that fact.
One other thing, I'm not sure if this place is even located at this address or not.
I tried to locate them and they had a few different addresses out there, so who knows where they are at. Also, I tried calling all the numbers at their place and could never get a hold of a single person. The only person I dealt with was "Karina". I think she is doing this out of her house as a couple times I called her number I could hear a baby in the background.
