I ordered flowers for Mother's Day from Florist Express (also known as Pro Flowers). I asked for delivery to be Saturday, May 12 (the day before Mother's Day). On 5/1/07 my credit card was charged $61.98 for the flowers and service fee. The next day, 5/2/07 my credit card was charged and additional $11.99. As of Mother's Day, I was still trying to get the $11.99 refunded as they claimed to have no record of charging me this duplicate service fee.

In the meantime, the delivery date of 5/12/07 comes and goes and no flowers were delivered. I called on 5/13/07 to inquire where the flowers were. They informed me that the florist they use in that town refused the request because the delivery address was outside of their delivery zone. I asked why no one ever let me know, especially given I had been communicating with them to get my overcharge refund. She said that they are not able to notify everyone of issues during busy times of the year. She acted like it was my fault for ordering flowers during a peak time of year when they are short staffed to begin with.

I'll take Florist Express' advise and never order flowers from them again. If everyone else does the same, maybe they'll be able to better handle the workload.

As for my $61.98 - I'll receive a refund in 7 business days. As for the $11.99 - I have gone through my credit card to try to get that back since Florist Express still claims to have no record of it.
