On Sunday March 28, 2004 I looked in the sales paper of the Star Telegram to find a leather sectional for 871.00. I thought that I would go over to the store and actually see the qulaity and color that was available.
When I arrived I was greeted by Christina. I showed her the sectional that was in the sales paper she began to tell me that it was a error that the price should have been 1871.00. I told her that I understood, she then advised me that the store was willing to sell the sectional for about 1500.00. Christina also advised me that there were several other errors in the sales paper such as a 7 pcs. home office set and a dining set that also had errors in the cicrular and that they were honoring the listed price. I stated to her that
usually if you retract a error, you usually do not honor part and not honor the other part. I began to expalin to her that it seem to me that they wanted to honor the mistake that would not cost them the most money.
Christina responded to me that I could go to web site to make a compliant but they would not honor there mistake only the ones that they choose to. I belive that is poor customer service. I was advised that several people had come to the store for that paticular item and had been told the same thing. I guess Ashley would rather
lose several customer, than to lose a few dollars.
My point is that either your wrong or your not. If you admitt there is a error either correct all of it or none of it. I went to store to purchse the sectional and some other thing but after I was made aware of there feeling on there error I did not purchase a thing.
