I know first hand that Regis Hair Salon in Arlington, Texas does not want to give their employees lunch breaks nor break time of any kind.
The employees were even told to take their "breaks" BEFORE they come to work. Now, how would that be possible?
The employees were also told they are not allowed to eat on their break time.
A person I know who worked there had to stand for up to 12 hours per day working on people's hair with no lunch nor dinner nor breaks.
Now would you want someone who has had nothing to eat or drink for that many hours working on your hair.
These employees are repeatedly called to come in earlier than their shift requires and they are put to work stocking shelves of which they get no pay. They are only paid for their customers.
The prices are so high, that many times the employee is not compensated with a tip.
The store is dirty and the manager is an erratic crazy person who regularly SCREAMS at her employees and intimidates them.
I for one will never step foot in a Regis Salon again.
After a customer called into the District Office and complained of the abuses I'm talking about, the Manager called everyone in and SCREAMED at them that they would be fired if anyone ever called in and complained about her again.
No longer a customer
