Well in January, when the new LA FITNESS club became delayed in opening I was told that we could train at any club so I chose the near by club. After training there for a few weeks, my mother and I were approached by a club trainer to get an assessment.

I asked if that would include a few training sessions and he told us yes. This was not the case because when we got there the Trainer immediately took some written information and went straight into his selling of the different plans.

We trusted him to be forthcoming so when he signed us up he lead us to believe that the service we were paying for would cover two months and that trainer would train us for 45 minutes. The assessment guy told us we would get two additional free days of training. What I found out was it was a minimum of two months at 347 each month and that the training was for 30 minutes. I knew that this was to steep so I decided to freeze the account for two months until I could either afford it or cancel it altogether.

Well, 4/2/03 I noticed a 436.00 dollars charge on my bill I immediately called the club I joined and the manager told me that did not sound right so he encouraged me to call the corporate office and they would assist me.

The following morning, 4/3/03, I called the corporate Office and talk to the Office Supervisor Ted. He told me that because the club made an error and only froze the account for one month but I explained to him that she made a mistake and was defiantly for two months. I became very angry because that was an unexpected fee and cause a bad effect to my account. I told Ted that I wanted to speak with his boss. He referred me to Orlando Gonzolas. I have called Orlando at least a dozen times with no response. I have also called Mike Drinkle, VP of LA Fitness also received no response.

I want to sue them in small claims court for an unauthorized charge. If you gonna join a gym never deal with the personal training it is a complete SCAM...Especially LA FITNESS
