Complaint Description: Our air conditioner went out Saturday, 6/24/06. We called First American and were told that soonest available service would be Monday, 6/26. Nobody contacted us. We contacted 1st Am. again and a tech was sent out Weds, 6/28. This tech could not work on our unit. I was told we would be contacted to reschedule "as soon as possible." We didn''t hear from 1st Am the next two days, so I called them Friday 6/30. I was told soonest available service would be Monday 7/3. They sent the same tech out Monday that could not work on our unit. I called Monday and was told again that we would be rescheduled and contacted "as soon as possible."
I have left work to meet the same tech 2 times now. Today is Thursday, 7/6/6. Nobody called us. I called them today and was told they have no idea when anybody will be able to get to us. I have to wait on hold for at least 20 minutes every time I call them. They will not let me speak to a supervisor. They will not let me schedule my own service and file for reimbursement. The temperature here reaches the high 90''s every day, and this problem is now 2 weeks old with no resolution in sight.
