Melaleuca (Or should I say "Mela Loco") has left a very bad taste in my mouth!! And I had heard for so long about how wonderful they were!!

Well, dumby me had to call to find out about them and had to "sign up" online. Mind you, I NEVER "signed" anything physically, but I filled out a form online and made the awful mistake of giving them my checking account number!

Bad, bad mistake!!! After receiving my pitiful little box of a few small "economy" sized bottles of Melaleuca products and a bottle of laundry detergent liquid that MUST have shrunk during shipping, I decided that this whole company was nothing, but a pure "RIP OFF"!!! My box of "goodies" had been stuffed with plastic blown up pillows to fill the big box so that it looked like I was receiving a gold mine! I kept saying "Is that ALL that I get for $93.00?"

I just could not believe it! And the Nicole Miller line of cosmetics.....ROFL!!...What a joke! A teeny bottle of "toner" and a few other bottles of moisturizer for $30!! Wow! My sister-in-law sells Mary Kay and you get a nice assortment for $30 that could last all year! So, I informed the lady who signed me up that I was not interested and it took her a while to finally get back to me because she was on a Melaleuca "adventure" in Montana or somewhere like that, supposedly.

But, awfully funny that she is always online...Oh well. And they just don't take the word "No" for an answer. So she never really told me what to do to cancel out my membership and although I haven't spoken with her in about 3 weeks, she managed to charge my account nearly $60!!!

So, I had to go to the bank to put a stop on any further charges from them and I was told that if these charges persist that I will have no other choice, but to close out my account! And I received some other information for those out there who need it....If you use a debit type of Mastercard or Visa, you can place a "Hot Card" hold on it so that they cannot debit your account anymore, but then, you have to get a temporary card and order a new card, but your charges would be blocked.

By the way, my items have been returned a letter sent out like I finally able to find out by reading the numerous letters from people who like me are totally perturbed at this poor excuse for a company!

And another thing....I have read about how NATURAL these products are suppose to be....Pick up a bottle of Suave 2 in 1 Shampoo plus Conditioner and compare the ingredients. Coincidence that they are very similar or not?..Hmmm...Makes you wonder! Well, I tried their shampoo and it made me itch like crazy and I had a raw blister right above my left ear that bled!
Something that I used made me break out on my chest in red blotches and like I said, my head and hair itched like crazy!

I tried the laundry detergent and I was not impressed. It looked like dishwashing detergent to me and I am supposed to get 30 loads out of that tiny bottle? They must think that we are total idiots or something! What a joke! Well, I am back to my old self pleased and content with using Suave, All, Purex and brands that I can honestly afford! And who is going to buy a $15 candle anyhow? I have much better things to spend my money on.

Thanks Melaleuca for a wake up call!! And what part of "No" don't you understand?

EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days.

If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 #, and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges.

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent!

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth.

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.

And good luck Let us know how you do!

MomsWIN LLC / Ariana Reed not affiliated with Melaleuca

AUTHOR: Ariana - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 11, 2008

*PLEASE READ*
My comments have often been lost in all the comments and the issues have been confused.

Hello My name is Ariana. I have seen several posts with my name attached to Melaleuca. I since many posts have left that company and my LLC MomsWIN has been separated from them as well.

Many complaints mention the following:
I did not know I would get a monthly order
I was mislead about costs

None of these complaints are from people who actually spoke with me or personally worked with me. At the time I was affiliated with Melaleuca we held national calls that were live and often recorded.

I set forth the guidelines and standards which were ethical and moral. MomsWIN was a service for a group of over 38,000 individuals whom I did not employ, govern, or hold a contract with. My own relationship was to service them with FREE tools to support their business.

I for my own reasons left the company Melaleuca. I feel confident in my business and professional conduct. I would challenge anyone to call me or email me directly and make a judgment call. I am very open to answer any questions and handle any comments.

Please separate MomsWIN from Melaleuca. Please do not assume because one member of Melaleuca who also used MomsWIN as a tool misrepresented the terms that everyone is bad.

CHALLENGE FOR YOU
Don't assume anything. See for yourself.

Ask me yourself and put me to the test!

Moms win etc is NOT Melaleuca the company!

AUTHOR: I Love Melaeluca! - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 25, 2007

I have been with the Melaleuca company for over 11 years. I have been really happy and satisfied every year.

I know they do not promote any website but their own, and if someone joins the company through other websites then it is hard for Melaleuca the company to regulate what they do, if that is the right wording. It is not from Melaleuca personally, but from others who have benefited health wise and financially from Melaleuca and these ones are only trying to help others, but maybe in their excitement aren't doing it quite how Melaleuca teaches us to do it. I am not sure nor am I very familiar with them, but I know my enroller was very thorough with me regarding everything.

Melaleuca encourages us all the time to give a thorough presentation to each and every potential customer, and prides themselves on satisfying everyone to the best of their ability. Everything is up front on the enrollment forms. I know we have to buy a little each month, but that is so honest compared with stores who lure us in with sales ads, then expect us to use our gas to get there, and to get a cart to haul up and down the ailes to lure us to purchase something we didn't even come to get or don't even need, then has us lining up to pay for overpriced, overstuffed bottles of filler that damage us and our clothing etc..

I am SO sorry you had a bad experience, as I am possitivly in love with my products and the company. I have been using Melaleuca for 11 years now, and know they are loyal and kind and their products have helped me clear up my excema and allergies, and are absolutly the best I have ever used.

As for the laundry detergent, you only need 1/8 of a cup per large load, and it is a big savings even compared to laundry detergent on sale and at discount clubs.

I have been doing price comparasins for years, and it really is as good as it says. I have been asked by people in bank line ups twice (unfortunatly Melaleuca doesn't have everything YET) if I air dry my clothes they smell so good! Sure they could add water and fillers and use a bigger bottle but for what? Just so we would feel like we are getting our moneys worth? No, they are trying to do their part a little at a time by saving us time and energy and our environment.

The smaller bottles are because Melaleuca does not believe in shipping you water, you have it in your sink, everything is concentrated. Very concentrated, and you only need to use a fraction of what you would need with traditional products. Sometimes it is 4-1 compared to stores! Its amazing how concentrated they are, and that may have been why you were itchy also after you shampoo'd your hair. We are so used to using so much with traditional brands, but I have been using a dime size of Melaleuca to wash my long hair for years and I get compliments all the time from strangers and beauticians how beautiful and healthy my hair is and what do I use? (I enrolled 7 hairdressers!) With Melaleuca LESS is MORE! I hope you give Melaleuca another try and use less and give it 3-4 months before you give up. Its so worth it.

I use the products, and love them!

AUTHOR: Angela - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 21, 2007

I purchase a few products from Melaleuca regularly through a friend. I have never been one to join MLMs; I just use a few products that I find work for me here and there from different companies. I have never gone to a Melaleuca meeting or been approached by someone who would like me to participate in the company. I use the products because I like them... end of story!! My friend recommended them to me because she loved them, and now I use the entire laundry pack which includes things like detergent, softner, spot treat, etc. I have absolutely NO complaints about any of the products. I have been using the same bottle of detergent (it's a larger bottle) since June (it's now almost December), and it's not even half gone. When I use the full recommended ounce of detergent (much less than most detergents!!), I find that there are still lots of suds in my drain sink after the wash cycle. You might think this would be a complaint, but it's not. I am able to get twice the amount out of one bottle! I love it! I also use 1/2 the recommended amount of fabric softner, and I get great results with both. I have also never been more impressed by anthing than the pre-spot. It was the ONLY thing that got out a huge (about 6-in diameter) grease stain from my favorite corduroy pants after washing them with numerous other products. That was actually what drove me to try the other Melaleuca laundry products. My mother uses the dishwashing liquid in her dishwasher. It's the only one she's found that works great with her hard water and old dishwasher. Her dishes come out much cleaner than when they are washed with other name-brand products from the store.

I wanted to say something positive because I love the products and have heard that they are totally biodegradable. I'll be the first to admit that I haven't researched this, but I only know that the products are great so I use them and love them. If it's true that they are biodegradable, then paying a little more (even though I end up saving a ton of money in the end) is even that much more worth it.

If you join just for the "heck of it" and haven't done any research before or while doing so, you have scammed yourself. I don't join things just because I never feel like I know what I'm getting myself into... it's kept me safe so far. But if I were to join, I certainly would research how I might end the membership if I become dissatisfied with the business or the products. I think it is your own fault for jumping into things, and especially before trying the products!

Rebuttal to Sherri of FL re: MomsWin/Melaleuca

AUTHOR: Chelle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 12, 2007

You know, it's amazing the amount of time and energy it took for Sherri to write her long Ripoff Report when all she had to do was pick up her business kit that comes to every new customer. (1) Cancellation is as simple as writing a note to and submitting it to Melaleuca by the 25th day of any month, as mentioned in the presentation and in writing in the business kit. (2) For 93.00, you obviously ordered a 35 product point order [5-7 items] which basically costs $45-$60 plus the cost of your $29 membership kit, and shipping & tax. A 35 pp order does not include the trial size products. There are no points associated with trial size products. Additionally, the products and the membership kit all have a 100% money back guarantee. If you were really unhappy, ship it all back. (3) The 32oz MelaPower Detergent WHEN USED ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS does wash 32 large loads of clothes for only $6. I've been using it for over 3 years and we're a family of 4. (4) The charge to your account was your EMERGENCY Back Up Order. This is required for Preferred Customers to protect your membership benefits as well as your commissions.

However, if you shop monthly for only 5-7 items, as you agreed to do so on your contract, online or hardcopy, your EMERGENCY back up order is just information that remains on your file. It's like an insurance policy except you never pay for it unless you use it. (5) If you decide that you don't want the back up order in place for you, switch from Preferred Customer Status to Direct Customer Status. (6) A "teeny" bottle of toner??? Did you order the sample size? The regular size of facial wash & toner is 4oz. The moisturizer is 1.7oz. If I purchased a skin cleansing set from MaryKay it would cost me aproximately $95. Nicole Miller ranges between $36 - $60.

So you see? Your report is based on YOUR misunderstanding, not facts about Melaleuca. I've been a customer for 3.5 years and have seen people angry because of something they themselves misunderstood. And then they do what you've done. spew untruths and make others who are interested afraid. I only hope that others who may have read your report and the other reports on this website are overcome with common sense when they hear the presentation for themselves.

AUTHOR: Wes - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 06, 2007

09/05/2007 It's with sadness that I've learned of the termination from Melaleuca of Ariana Reed...

They say that in Mela you can have your own business? Not True!
The facts are that the higher up you go, the more moeny that you make, the more Frank Vandersloot owns you. that's just how it is!

Truth be told, you can't get "fired" from your own business.

Mela has a policy that once you reach a certain level, you cannot do any other MLM (If you don't think Mela is just another MLM, re-think your thinking)

I would say if your in business then you will have more then just one "client"

If your going to do Network Marketing, make sure it's OK with whatever company or companies you go with that it's OK to do other companies. Then and only then you will be in business for yourself, just ask Ariana!

#10 REBUTTAL Owner of company

MomsWIN

AUTHOR: Ariana - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 11, 2006

Let me first state I have no intention to make any comment nor defense of Melaleuca and the way they do or do not conduct their business.

MomsWIN LLC is my company which is currently controlled by Melaleuca's policies and procedures. Even though it is my company I at this time take instructions from Melalueca and have very limited ability to take any actions without the sanction of Melaleuca.

I can tell you my own personal moral values and business practices. I believe in being upfront and commonly known as honest to a fault. I think discussing the monthly order, back up order, and the online contract are essential to a quality enrollment.Every individual deserves the right to be fully informed.

I can personally identify with people who feel they were mislead not because of what was said but because of what was not said. It is sad when individuals or companies feel the need to decieve people in order to obtain peoples commitment. (This is not necessarily my view towards Melaleuca and should not be taken as such.)

I apologize to any individuals who have had a bad encounter with specific people within Melaleuca who also happen to use a MomsWIN website. Please note that there are thousands who use this site and I do not profit from it in any way. I do not have any control over the conduct of any individual who uses a MomsWIN website. I am limited in the course of actions I can take due to Melaleuca's influence over the situation currently.

I hope that people do not judge me or my company based on our current affiliation and instead allow me a small opportunity to speak for how I personally run my business and would like to run MomsWIN.

I wish that I could do something to assist the individuals who have had unpleasent experiences but it is simply out of my control. All I can do is apologize and express my heartfelt concern when I hear about these things.

Corporate Director Ariana Reed-Hager?

AUTHOR: Wes - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 02, 2006

Just curious, did you read the Leadership In Action article about Corporate Director Cameron Hager and the Moms Win team "He" created? (I forget what issue but it was in the summer of 2006)

No mention of "Corporate Director Ariana Reed-Hager" in the article. She became an "Un-Person"
This company is suppose to have credibility?

Just curious about how you people in Moms Win feel about this? As I understand it. Ariana is on the "Outs" with Big Frank. So the entire credit was given to poor Cameron who obviouly was placed in a tough spot.

I'm just curious as to what would have happened if Ariana was single instead having a husband who could take the credit for her?

You have to realize that once you make it big in Mela, the company now owns you. The company is at least partially owned by Frank VanderSloot, President & CEO.
(Not sure, but I believe he has a silent patner or patners)
Now the bigger your check in Mela the higher you will have to jump. Think you have your own business? You can't be terminated from your own business, you can be in Melaleuca. In reality your an employee, you have your own business for tax purposes only. You work for Frank.

If your going to do Network Marketing you should be doing at least two companies, you can't do that in Mela and hold a high position.
Another thing that I've been told is that once you reach the level of Senior Director, you are responsible for anything derogatory that someone in your customer group might do. This can and will lead to fines from Frank.

So why did I leave?
I can't lie to people.
I can't say they only need to buy 35 base points worth of products. True if your just a customer but if your doing the biz, it jumps up to 75 base points which equals about $135 a month.
"It's not an MLM" I love this one!

What does MLM stand for? It stands for Multi Level Marketing and nothing else. Do you get paid on 7 levels in Mela? Of course you do.
Is Mela a MLM? Of course it is! Is it a Network Marketing company? Of course it is! IT'S BOTH!
They call themselves a "Consumer Direct" comapany. So what? Every MLM or Network Marketing company ships direct to the consumers from the factory. So it can be said that every MLM or Network Marketing company can say they are a "Consumer Direct" marketng company.
Nonsense! Smoke and Mirrors! They say they don't stock products? So what? I can't think of any company that's out there other than Herbalife (Ugh!) that does.

The Pay Plan. It's a Forced Matrix. I think it stinks. Why? OK, you have a 5x7, slowly expandlng later if you become a Senior or above.
You fill your front line, only 5 positions. You don't know what these people will do. If one is good your in luck but probably not. You get paid on their six levels if they develope a business and a downline. (These people can be moved for a period of only up to 3 months, then your stuck with them)

Your next level is a potential of 25 people. Again, if just one of them is a business builder, your lucky. But now you only getting paid on 5 of his levels. Same thing now happens on your next level with a potential of a 125 people. Drop a person down there who later decides to do a business and you have just lost more money. Remember, you only get paid 7 levels on the resisdual. Three of his levels are now outside of your payout. Where does the money go? The company keeps it. Cute!

In my opinion there is only one good pay plan and it's called a Uni-Level with full compression. Everyone goes on your front line and if they do nothing, they are not blocking you. If someone quits below you, with compression someone below them will roll up.
It's only fair.

Stay away from a Matrix or a Binary. I now belong to a company that has such a plan and pays 5% to 7% down to an amazing 10 levels deep with a potential of another 2% to infinty. #8 UPDATE Employee

Melaleuca Marketing Executive, MomsWin Team member

AUTHOR: Ida - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, November 03, 2006

I am a Melaleuca Marketing Executive with the MomsWin Team. I have been a customer of Melaleuca for 2 and 1/2 years. Tina Folsom is my enroller. Actually I am not an employee of the company I am an independent business owner. Melaleuca pays me commission to, in effect advertise the company. The company operates on customer referrals. This is pretty much the same way that insurance companies pay their agents. Residual income comes from continued customer loyalty.

I found it hard to take when I saw my enroller and Senior Director 3 Tina Folsom listed in this publication. Tina is a wonderful mentor and has helped me immensely with my business. Corporate Director Ariana Reed-Hager is also a very fine woman who has helped numerous others not only eliminate debt, but toxins from their homes, thus enhancing their lives immeasurably.

If you look at the average income of each of these positions, you will see that these women are very successful. This could not have happened if they were not above and beyond the average individual. If their integrity was not intact, they could not have grown their businesses this large. And if you have ever listened to the MomsWin presentation calls, you know that all the issues addressed in the complaints have been covered from the very beginning.

All one would have to do is to listen carefully, ask questions for clarification, educate yourself on all aspects of the company, and never rely on someone else to do for you what only you have a legal right to do.

Once you become a Melaleuca customer, you are in charge of your own account, not your enroller or anyone else. It is your responsibility to change or update your account for yourself. That is the way it is. With each order you receive all the contact information you will ever need for the company. Don't throw it away or expect anyone else to look it up for you. Not that they cannot do it, it is just your reasonable responsibility.

Like I said, I have been a customer for 2 and 1/2 years. During that time I have used a lot of their products. At the very first I received a Nicole Miller cleanser that was just not right for my skin. I contacted Melaleuca and they refunded my money and told me that I could keep the product and just give it to someone else to use. Money back without returning the product. Pretty good I think.

I can honestly say that I love the products and they are better than any that I could buy over the counter bar, none. They truly are the best, in my opinion. And I put them fully to the test. By the way, they save me money as well. How awesome is that? Imagine that, better, safer products that save meney as well.

About 5 months ago I cancelled my account because I needed to help my husband with his business and finances were not so great. Not Melaleucas fault, my own. I just am not as adept with the business end of the company as others are. I will be but not just yet. Anyway I knew that I needed to send Melaleuca a letter with, my signature, that I wanted to cancel. All legal and everything. That is the way legitimate companies do things. Of course, at that time, Melaleuca was able to cancel my account and I did not receive any more orders, back up or otherwise. It was just that simple. Needless to say, I have since reenrolled because I know that this business is the best opportunity out there. I had looked for 11 years.

I just think it is unbelievable that anyone would complain about a company as great as Melaleuca.

I am sure though that perception is everything and colored by personality, other bad experiences and ignorance(lacking in knowledge and training).

It's about your choices

AUTHOR: Gaorii - (Canada)

POSTED: Monday, July 17, 2006

Look people, everyone has a favourite store or company, ((store names redacted by ROR))I personally have found that the concentrated aspect of the Melaleuca products to be quite profound, for example, I only have to buy laundry detergent 2x a year or so. That not only saves me time and effort, but a concentrated product has less impact on the planet, as it takes less gas/deisel to ship it, uses less plastic as the bottle is smaller. The idea of using less resources and leaving a smaller "footprint" as the term goes appeals tome. It is all about choice.

I am a middle aged woman, and have found one of their products has helped for several years now to ease the discomfort of hot flashes. One bar of soap last me and my boy two months of daily showers. I've used their products for 5 years now, and while I've thought about cancelling and just going to the store, I find I would miss just too many products. If I wanted to quit, I would write a letter and fax it in- and poof! my account would be canceled. End of story.

Speaking of stories, in my last order, a product was missing. That's never happened before in 5 years, but it did in July. So I called them up right away, explained that one thing wasn't in the box and the polite and efficient phone rep immediately put a request in for the missing product. I didn't have to jump through any hoops, no song and dance. No 10th degree interrogation. I received it today, less than a week later.

I find that certain people will complain about everything and anything that doesn't go their way. I think they are just like a child (I have one, and he's like that) who gets mad when they don't get exactly what they want, when they want it, and they also want things to magically work out for them - and starting a home business is akin to winning the lottery- you pay your money and Poof! you're rich.

Wake up for God's sake- do your homework, check into a company, if you dont' like it, cancel your subscription/membership, return the products and get your money back. Don't spend time complaining here or anywhere, take care of it yourself! Sheesh! Growing up is painful, but you have to do it sometime, might as well be now. Take some responsibility for your decisions, your life and start being proactive. Hey, maybe watch a little Oprah or something.

If they are non-toxic and clean effectively, what makes Melaleuca's versions better than these others?

AUTHOR: R - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 07, 2006

I've read so many responses from Melaleuca distributors on this site who, in response to others who were disappointed or unimpressed, were rude, defensive and harped on "ignorance."

More and more companies are making organic, non-toxic household products and selling them for prices competitive with the standard name brands you find in the supermarket. And - surprise - these products are increasingly being found in larger supermarkets with organic sections. Failing that, they are in health food stores. If they are non-toxic and clean effectively, what makes Melaleuca's versions better than these others? I'm not convinced that the Melaleuca name means unparalleled quality. In fact, considering that the competing products have secured national retail distribution, I think that speaks to credibility.

The Meleleuca distributor's argument in defense of the concentrated laundry detergent, saying that it costs 16 cents per load vs 25 cents per load for Tide demands a little more review. Which version of Tide? Is it on sale that week? If you bought the large size, wouldn't you save more? And if you wanted to go non-toxic, you can use other non-Melaleuca brands at prices comparable to Tide.

As for superb, high quality cosmetics, they are everywhere. Try Bare Minerals. When you are required to spend $60 or $100 or more a month, I hardly think the nickel-and-dime argument should hold any water. For example, you'd have to do 11 loads of laundry to save $1 with that argument.

Gee. A buck.

I can get that, um, newspaper I've been saving up for.

You Were Uninformed

AUTHOR: Heather - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 05, 2005

I have been a customer for over 2 years and love the products. The reason they are smaller is because they are concentrated so the laundry soap takes only one oz. per load instead of 6oz per load and only costs 16 cents instead of 25 cents for tide. As for the nicole miller-they are packed with botanical extracts and contain vitamins and SPF 15 which Mary Kay does not and Mary Kay actually costs more and you have to use more because it isn't so concentrated. I used to use Mary Kay so I was excited to be getting so much more for my money that are more effective and don't contain toxic chemicals. Sorry to say but the products you mentioned All,Suave, etc. all contain toxic ingredients and no naturally derived ingredients. At environmental working group website you can type in any ingredient to see if it is harmful and I suggest you do so before you say they are virtually the same ingredients as Melaleuca's. The website is www.ewg.org and has no affiliation with Melaleuca. I could go on and on but I won't. You are ignorant. As for the money being taken out, if you would have read the customer agreement you would have known about the 35 point monthly committment and also the backup order if you fail to place an order. And If you convert your home to all safer Melaleuca products you will have no trouble filling that committment. I purchase 80-100 points per month for a family of four with a modest income and I find it very convenient and cost effective. Before you write this company off,do your research. I am sorry for your experience with Ariana Reed-Hagar, she probably didn't explain the 35 pts. or the back-up order. She has recieved many complaints and loses alot of customers this way and it reflects poorly on the Company and all of us who do let the clients know all the details. This is not what Melaleuca wants. We want our customers to stay and to do that we need to be honest from the begining. There are a lot of people making a lot of money with this company. It is an honest lucritive business with benifits-a healthier home and family. In fact my mentor makes over $4000 a month last time I checked. We are not with MomsWin, and we do things differently.

Wow -- I am truly sorry to hear that you had such a terrible experience with Melaleuca. You are obviously a minority, given the good reports and rebuttals for them outnumber the bad 10:1.

I haev to say that I am confused as to how you say that you never " signed " anything. If you enrolled online, then you had to digitally sign your enrollment, which the link for by the way, was under ALL the information regarding your preferred customer membership.

Melaleuca has been in business for over 20 years, pretty amazing for such a " horrible " company.

As far as not getting charges you don't want ... CANCEL THE ACCOUNT!! It is as simple as picking up the telephone, letting Melaleuca know what is going on, and sending in a letter requesting that your account be cancelled. Not only that, but the fee is REFUNDABLE for 4 months!! As for the products ... Melaleuca guarantees them as well, you can send back EMPTY bottles, and they will still replace them, exchange them, or refund your money!

Nothing annoys me more than to see someone try to blame others for their own irresponsibility. All of your problems could have been avoided in 2 ways ...

1) READ the information, and ASK questions about anything that you are uncertain about, before enrolling

and

2) pick up the phone, and afterwards take a total of 5 minutes to write a simple note stating that you would like to cancel your account .... end of story.

I can assure you, with all the SATISFIED customers that Meleauca provides products and services for ( hmmm I wonder if their 95% re-order rate mean anything ) they have no reason to try to hang on to a negative customer that is too narrow minded to take responsibity for their own actions, much less anyone else's.

My family has been customers of Melaleuca for well over a year, and absolutely LOVE their products, and their service!!
