Sorry you got yourself in such a situation
but it sounds like you are mainly angry with yourself.
Did you report this accident to your own insurance company within 24 hours?
I presume you did.
Did you read all the fine print in reference
to car rental policy while your car is being fixed? You do have choices and unless you
exercise them you only have yourself to blame
later.
Please accept my rebuttal to not accept your deep hatred for GEICO.
GEICO just saved me over 20% in premium payments.
At the moment I have no complaints with them.
Till I do, I'm happy they finally came to N.J.
We have been paying the highest rates in the country. Talk about car ins. ripoffs in N.J.!!
Our Ins. Commission office could not do a thing about it.
Better to be a savy & informed consumer then send
bitter hate letters which will wind up in the circular file anyway.
Lately in this forum it looks like GEICO insured drivers are not very good drivers!!!
Hope your car is fixed by now.

...just another GEICO gecko doing the RIP YOU OFF DANCE!
I have a GEICO complaint listed at a later date and I agree with everyone that hates GEICO. If you don't believe us you will some day.
Just go=o to the major website complaint sites: www.complaints.com, www.planetfeedback.com,and individual state insurance department ratings.
Compare how may GEICO complaints there are compared to any other insurance company. It's like a million to one. It will amaze you! GEICO is horrific. Their television ads about 97% customer satisfaction are the worst lie yet.
Are you sure that GEICO gecko isn't red, have horns, a spear and a forked tail?

I was amused by your evaluation of my letter. Not exactly sure how you could even remotely come to such a conclusion, but thanks for the amusement.
To comment 1st on your opening sentence, and I quote “Sorry you got yourself in such a situation but sounds like you are mainly angry with yourself.” End quote. WHAT? You must have skipped the part of my letter that explained what occurred. I, dear Geico poster child, was abiding by all traffic laws when “I” was struck. Geico has already acknowledged their client was 100% at fault. So, your theory “I got myself in such a situation” would indicate you can't comprehend driving laws. And then you proceed to say I am angry with myself… Now that was the funniest part of your letter. Please have someone explain this to you; I was the victim of another drivers careless, illegal and dangerous actions.
As far as my rights and responsibilities, not only do I know them but I even understand them. Do you? Trust me I am educated and trained in contracts far more in-depth than any I am sure you have ever encountered or could hope to understand.
If you find my letter bitter and hateful then I suggest you take off your blinders and see things for what they are. I am offended by the actions and behavior of a company that prides themselves in Customer Service and offers very little to victims such as myself. I must add however, I recently learned the employee that bestowed the abusive behavior on me has since been fired. I now am working with a gentleman and up to this point has treated me with respect and I have no complaints thus far.
I am happy you found the right insurance company for you and your families needs. I cannot speak for Geico as a client; I am on the other side of the fence. I do not hate them, but I find their business practices offensive and abusive.
It is a fact most people aren't informed of their rights and find themselves accepting pennies on the dollar in a settlement due to intimidation and strong-armed tactics. What I stated is very simple, I have researched, studied and spoken to the experts in this field and I am ready to stand toe to toe & hopefully reach a resolution that is fair and reasonable

I am a Geico customer and fortunately have yet to use them. Just pay the premiums every month. I switched to them after hearing how pleased my parents were. I had Farmers until I had my 1st accident ever. With over 30 plus years driving and never even a parking ticket, speeding ticket nothing. I had a accident and went through heck with Farmers.
My brothers and their families were taking my parents van on vacation to Tennessee to visit family. On the trip to TN in South Carolina, a driver fell asleep and hit them and the vehicle was not drivable. Geico was there in about a hour and had a rental vehicle for them to continue on with the trip. Geico also made arrangements for the van to be transported to Florida where my parents live to be repaired so they nor one of my brothers would not have to return to south carolina to get the van once it was repaired.
Several years later my mother was exiting I-95 returning from physical therapy and was rear ended and injured. The Geico agent made extra trips to the house to make sure the claim and settlement was taken care of. And even brought my mom a plate of cookies.
So I guess it is just where you are.
