I was sold the at&t internet service by the at&t wireless store. I was told that I would be able to use wifi service at many locations for free. I told the sales person that I was using Cox cable currently for both internet and phone. I asked if the Cox phone service would be a problem and was told no. First, I had a difficult time setting up the install as they had no way to find my work order when I called in for the install. After the install was arranged a service person apparently hooked up something in the garage but did not talk to me. I called tech to ask how to hook up since I was getting phone through Cox. I was routed to several people but never found someone who could help. I was told that someone would get back to me...never did. Having spent several hours on the project I gave up.

I started getting bills for service. I found when you try to contact at&t customer service you are routed to collections. When you say "I want to talk to customer service" they respond that they are, but they can't do anything for you except collect for the bill.

I offered to use both internet, TV if they could make it work but I would not pay for service that I was not getting. The customer service (collections) people don't have that authority. I spend hours trying to resolve, I couldn't even get the on-line reporting to work. Most of the phone numbers put you on hold...ask questions to funnel you back to the web site or give you another number to call. In the end I settled for a reduction of the bill and swore off ever using at&t again. I'll have to wait to drop at&t wireless, but I will not get ripped off by at&t again.
