GoDaddy Illegally Debits Accounts When Specifically Told Not Too! They have an option (check box) for each product purchased, whether you want Auto Renewal. Does not matter if it is checked OFF.
They debit your account and then have an account manager call you to see if you object. If you are too busy to take their call or do not call them back, they assume you have given permission.
I have been with them since their inception, late 90's, I have stuck with them when others started to leave. All I asked for, a credit to my account to avoid lack of funds charges.
That I would make sure I had funds available in a couple days and then renew. They told me, the only way that could happen if they closed my account, where I would lose all my hard work, over several years!
I told them what they were doing is Illegal, when I have proof, I did not give them permission to debit my account. That I have been a good faith client from the beginning. Did not phase them.
I told them, if that was my only option, my back was to the wall, and I could not in good conscious do business with them again. Did not phase them!
I am so tired of Modern Day Corporations that have no clue the bottom line is the customer, not the Almighty Dollar! Shame on GoDaddy and any corporation that has reduced business to numbers!
I am confident their are enough victims of this Illegal practice by GoDaddy to qualify for a Class Action Lawsuit! I hate the thought of suing anyone. I have been in business over twenty years and never took a matter to court. Sadly, it appears the only way to get their attention is to have them face a jury of their piers to send the message, money is not more important than ethics!
