When I closed on my new home last winter, I paid Jewett Abstract Company (located at 706 Forest Avenue in Staten Island, NY) $24,000 to file my property deed with the Richmond County Clerk and pay my abated property taxes with the New York City Department of Finance.
I recently discovered that this despicable company failed to file my deed, and never paid my taxes! Nobody knows where my money went, and the city tells me that there is now a tax lien on my property! The company cashed my check and NEVER PAID ANYBODY ANYTHING!
Jewett Abstract Company, and it's owner, dishonest Attorney Vincent J. Gallo, absolutely refuse to help me in any way, and hangs up the phone on me whenever I call. I am now in the process of filing a lawsuit against the company and Mr. Gallo in order to recover the money which he stole from me!
