My name is Tony and I am a former employee of Tim Lamprose/Hughes/Silver. I can confirm the first poster's remarks that he misleads his employees and students to believe that greatness for the company is right around the corner, and when that happens everyone will enjoy the benefits...but that NEVER happens. Tim is a great sales person, a great speaker and a great liar. He will promise you the world, and keep you chasing the worm like a fish wondering why you can never catch it. If you have gotten better while attending his class, it is not because he is some great visionary, it is because you have ability as an actor and you are putting in a LOT of time to improve your abilities. I can tell anyone who is interested the truth now, because I am no longer in California pursuing this career, so he can no longer attempt to destroy my reputation....which he did attempt once I left the company. Tim is a bitter deceitful man who will stop at nothing for his OWN personal gain. If he cares about your success, it is only to benefit him and sucker more unknowing people into his class.
Tim kept telling me not to worry about money, and that he would get me taken care of. And that when the company takes off the way it's supposed to, that we would all look back on these times and laugh. Well, I am laughing now, but at how naive I was to believe this man. My loyalty to him destroyed my credit, made me lose my apartment, and damaged my reputation in the industry as well as to many friends whom he turned against me through his lies and slanderous comments. At first I thought I was alone in this, and maybe I was the one who was crazy...but as I talked to more and more people, I found I was not an isolated case and their stories were oddly similar to mine.
If you want to take his class, fine, I would never tell an actor not to be practicing his or her craft. However, whatever you choose, do not trust this man and his lies. He will try to make you believe that his way is the only way to get you on track to the career of your dreams, and that you should invest more time and more money than you are capable of...and that if you do not, you are an outcast from his group and will never be committed enough to reach your goals. Be weary of his mind games and how he will try to manipulate you. I'm sure you can work your skills just as hard at many different classes in the LA area though, so do your research and be careful of Messiah acting teachers.
