I wanted to share an impartial view of FlashCast.
I am a parent that did go to FlashCast to get my kids a contact w/ talent agencies. We were asked to wait in their waiting room and my kids played with all the toys available. Then, we were asked to meet with the CEO and he was very positive about the kids. He then goes through what the company does and talks quickly about a fee of $1500. My husband and I were a little surprised about the fee, but understand that is how the company has to make money. Afterwards, he gives you a card to call back at a certain time to find out if your kids are accepted. Once accepted, you will need to go back to their office where they will talk you through the steps needed to land an agent.
My husband and I decided not to continue because of the cost involved. I hope everyone can decide for their own what is in the best interest of their families. For us, forking out $1500 was not what we had intended in the first place. I know it is hard to make "contacts" with the industry. I feel that FlashCast did not misrepresent themselves. I hoped that parents will just make the right decision for them, whether or not they put up the money.
