On 3-16-03, I signed the closing statements with Ameriquest Mortgage Company for refinancing my home. I had been working with this company for approximately 60 days and had been told on several occassion that my loan had been approved.
I met with Christi M. Wozniak, Account Executive at Ameriquest Mortage on 3-1-01 at the Southfield office on Northwestern Hwy. I was told by her that I would receive a check in the amount of $14,000 seven days after the closing date. I waited until 3-23-01 and called Ameriquest Mortgage, spoke to Christi, who stated that my check was not sent to the office today but it should be in the office by 3-26-03.
I called the office on Monday 3-26-03 and Christi told me to call back around noon. I called back at noon and Christi stated that there was a problem and she would talk to the Regional Manager regarding this matter and call me back. She never called back so I called later that day and Christi stated that a check was never issued for me.
I asked Christi what exactly does it mean that a check wasn't issue. She stated that Ameriquest Mortgage decided not to approve the loan. Christi stated that she would call the next day with more information. She never called so I called Ameriquest Mortgage on Tuesday 3-27-01 and asked for Christi and she stated that the loan was not approved and I would not be getting a check because the scores in my file did not match the approval.
Ameriquest Mortgage told me on 3-16-01 when I signed the closing statements that my loan had been approved. I was also told at the closing that I would receive a check in the amount of $14,000, which I never got. On 3-28-01, I contacted the Attorney General Office to see if they could help me with this situation and was told that someone from Ameriquest Mortage will contact me today or tommorrow. The same day a reprsentative from Ameriquest Contacted me and I was able to pick up a check in the amount of $14,000.
I am not satified with $14,000 because I know that I am entitled to 3 times the amount of money I should have received. Because Ameriquest failed to pay me the money I was entitled to 7 days after closing. If someone knows what I am referring to please contact me.
