My husband got behind on our house payment, and thinking he could get it straightened out without worrying me, tried to deal amicably with Aurora Loan Services. They had bought our mortgage about 6 months before my husband got behind.

Instead of working with him, they made it impossible for him to call them, refused to try and work out a repayment plan and finally foreclosed on our home. All without a single, solitary word to me, the joint homeowner. Nope, not a certified letter, not a phone call, nothing.

The first I knew of it was on a cold Saturday morning when I answered the front door to an eviction notice! Aurora Loan Services did NOT publish the notice of public sale of our house in either of the two newspapers that publish in our county of residence. (One's a weekly, one's a daily.)

And, here's a twist...the only bidder at auction and the ultimate buyer of the house was, you guessed it, Aurora Loan Services! They have kept all the equity I had in the house and I am now bringing a lawsuit against them to recover every single thing I've lost due to them. If your mortgage gets sold to these people, sell your house NOW and move!!

I Feel You Pain, they were the most uncaring, rude and ruthless people I have ever dealt with!

I, too, had my loan purchased by ALS not too long ago. We fell a little behind due to medical bills and they were the most uncaring, rude and ruthless people I have ever dealt with! They would not even talk about it eithr. I was only 2 payments behind when they then began sending back payments (full month payments) because "it wasn't the full amount". This would then make them later and later...they would send VERY threatening letters.

I thankfully have a good job and could catch it up. However - word to the wise - as soon as I told themm they would NOT get my home and if the foreclosed I fully intended to reinstate it. That was the wrong thing to tell them, as they immediately (within days) had served me with a foreclosure lawsuit. The lawyer 'fees' I had to cover for them filling out a copy-n-paste form and copying the mortgage agreement and late 'fees' they extracted from playing musical payments (sending them back) was nearly 40% more than the payments I was behind at the time.

Most likely they were in kahoots with the lawyers and probably split the money they extracted...

What I can't believe is with all the complaints against this company why they are still allowed to rip people off day in and day out.

Unfortunately, I still have to deal with them today. All I can recommend to anyone who has them servicing their loan is NEVER - under no circumstances - ever fall behind. They will treat you like dirt and pounce at ANY chance to possibly get you home.

They pray on people who don't have the means to fight back.
